How many people would like to be able to queue for a 1v1 arena with equalized gear? I know it seems stupid since this game is so broken and unbalanced, plus healers would not fit very well on it, but considering they have an advantage while queing 3v3 with them being the bottleneck I'd say dps classes could have something too. I think it would be nice to have a way for people to learn pvp from the basic which is duels, which are sometimes hard to get against the class you wanna practice with.

    Yeah a lot of players have always wanted this there are a couple of problems though. The most important one would be that it completely would have to exclude healers.

    Class balance has never ever been a thing 1v1 either. The original 1v1 trolls were d-stance warrior and lancer. From what I understand not much has changed, lancer's are so OP 1v1 most people won't even use rallying cry or second wind in a dual but that would completely change in a battleground. If there were a leaderboard on the line it would at least be 50% lancer.

    In a trinity-based MMO, 1v1 really doesn't make all that much sense on the whole. With certain guidelines you might be able to do it between certain classes, but it just really isn't a design goal. The only MMOs that really made this a central feature did away with the trinity concept and made all classes DPS variations. Team compositions makes more sense for trinity games.

    It should be in VO and should be arena themed. Any class vs any class. no que required.

    maybe if it were just something for fun. if it had rankings and rewards and stuff I would say no. because balance is poo. not that i'm saying 1v1's are 100% class and 0% skill, but what I will say is that it's very easy for players who are extremely good at a weak class to lose to players who are only average at a top tier class.

    why not make it like overwatch where once you queue up into 3's or any BG, whatever, it throws you into a skirmish 1v1 with some other person in queue for the same thing. no rankings and such, just a fun little thing to practice until your queue pops. (.... basically just like dueling in VO while waiting for q pops)

    that way you wouldn't see many healers in there since their pvp queues pop pree quick.

    It sounds interesting... maybe upgrade the Velika Outskirts PVP area with NPCs that'd allow you to equip temporary-equalized gear for any class above 60... though, I don't know if BHS would want to make a whole new battleground, or even a NPC with gear in the case. If that doesn't work out, people could just PVP 1v1 in old gear, which some do.

    stop it with the eq gear. they give you trash and you can't customize anything. Exclude healers and tanks, whoever wants to 1vs1 will use a dps - more alts to suck money out of people.
