I'm just curious do you think there will be alot of streamers or no?

1. Tera runs poorly even on beastly gaming rigs. On a PS4 it will run like [filtered], and when it's streaming that might just make things worse. Don't tell me Bluehole "Player Unknown fans are petitioning for our new game to not run like trash" Studios is going to suddenly step up their game for an MMO console release either; that's like betting on a summer wrap lootbox. Can you imagine the outrage, too, if PC players who've begged for optimization patches for years get stuck doing 15 fps at bosses but the 6 people playing on their PS4 get to run it at 60? Jesus christ.
2. The majority of things that happen in tera are pretty boring to watch unless you're streaming nonstop dungeons for hours, but even then -- there are only, like, a handful of dungeons to do in this game so it'd get repetitive fast. There's a reason most tera streamers only ever have like 20 viewers unless they're already famous from something else.
3. I bet after the initial hype that comes with getting to try a game for free, only a small group of people will continue to play tera on console. It'll be like the Steam release all over again. First you're excited because it's a new thing and it's free. But then the game's core problems -- optimization, lack of fresh content, the parent company BHS not caring about its western audience -- rear their ugly head and people leave in droves. Of the group that's left, few will jump to stream their experience.
Honestly I'm surprised people are even hyped for a console release. Like, the game's been around for five years. Who would choose now, when the game's in its worst decline yet, and on a console that will probably get 10 fps, to try it?
Like I said, I'm not expecting miracles, but I do expect it'll be much more even than the PC build. Time will tell.
remember console player buy the same game at least 5 times
ps3, ps4, ps vita, pc and switch
I can see why it's declining people like you are just whining the coding error that causes most of the lag isbeing fixed. Me personally i'm excited because my lil laptop doesn't do games to well i mean it was a gift for college. I haven't played in forever now shush mr grump.
Tera isn't the best thing to stream.
Good players complete dungeons far too quickly to make a lengthy stream, and anything after that is just mindless tasks.
PvP que's take to long so again is just mindless tasks inbetween, and even then..like other MMO's PvP isn't as exciting.
Leveling? Is mostly mundane and rushed now, Leveling dungeons are completed in minutes not hours.
Just doesn't make good TV.
The only time lately tera has been good to stream is HH, I can hit 40-50+ viewers streaming phase 4 for a couple hours, but here in a few weeks that'll become the normal 10-12 guildies watching the stream.
Couple all of that with Tera streamers don't really get anything to give away. I'll use RO as an example here, my,com would give me either 7day permium codes, mounts, weapon skins whatever to give away fairly frequently actually while I streamed endgame dungeon content or just streaming anything, PvP ques were instant and more..watchable..Could easily on any given day or night hit 150+ viewers and gain some normal new subs.
Now yes I know that'll die down for the game as it grows out of it's "Fresh new" phase.
tl;dr
People watch streams for one of two things.(or both if you're lucky)
The personality of the streamer, If you've got a great personality you can do really really well.
or
The game play, If you've got great game play you can do both, tera's gameplay isn't 'great' to watch outside of a new dungeon release.
Did they confirm that?
Some MMO's are that way on the console like FFXIV, others aren't like ESO.
Sony's pretty good on not requiring playstation plus for free to play games.
However, microsoft requires xbox live gold for just about every one of them with only a few off titles.
My post didn't mention lag at all. It mentioned performance issues stemming from hardware optimization, but not latency problems. I'm wondering if you quoted the wrong post or if this is just how console players get when they're upset.
In any case, you asked a question and I replied with a realistic response. Not my fault you didn't like the answer, but I guess that's just console gamers for you.
Then clarify what else could it be. Please I was a pc gamer til my bf broke my laptop and 1 truth above all else gaming is DYING on pc. Example last NON INTERNET BASED GAME YOU BOUGHT FOR PC IS? It's dying no need to be pissy about how someone misinterpreted your vague post.
cause some of us have things in the game that isn't available anymore.
