Brand new

Hey Everyone!
I'm Seren, I just started last night, and so far I'm really excited!
Been playing WoW (off and on) since 2005 and almost played Tera a few years back,
but sunk back into WoW-NOT this time! haha!!!
Anyways just wanted to stick my head in and say hi and if anyone has any suggestions/warnings
:)

  • Hey! Welcome! Well, well, first and most important suggestion is find a friendly guild that is willing to teach you stuff, Tera has a lot of mechanics (combat, gearing, etc...) that aren't well explained to new players. The fun part of the game is at max lvl, and getting there is pretty fast (15 hours), if you know how to do it (story quest from lvl 1 to 20, dungeons and BAMs from 20 to 60, story quest again from 60 to 65). Once at max lvl you'll have to start grinding to get and enchant your gear, but, again, with some guidance getting mid tier gear doesn't take long.
Combat is pretty different from WoW, it's full action, meaning you have to rely on iframes and blocks to survive enemy attacks, while pulling out fast rotations to do good damage, getting used to this might take a while, but don't get discouraged :)
I hope this gives you a quick impression of what you'll find in game, have fun!

P.S. Essentialmana contains guides for every aspect of the game, bookmark it, you'll find it super useful!
