I'm concerned

I took a 1-2 month break from the game. The last time I played was the end of the anniversary event. When I logged in again (CH player BTW) it seems that the game is very deserted. Queuing for a dungeon is almost gone been queuing for 1 hour already in all dungeons and haven't gotten a game yet.

Is the game dead or am I just logging in at the wrong time. Also the reason I stopped playing the game for a bit is they accused my GF's art work on the last art contest it was about the Valkyrie to be fake and traced but my GF sent some evidence that it wasn't, and gave us a consolation prize but the damage has been done, another reason is because of the weak anniversary event that they turned into a cash grab gimmick, after that i gave myself some break from the game because I've been playing it since 2012 when the game was still booming.

Question is:

Is tera still great?
I have 11 toons so you cant say Im a scrub or something.

Is it worth getting back into?

Is there some news that will assure me that something big is gonna happen to this game?

There is an event for levelling right now, and I imagine a lot of people are participating, meaning less people run end game stuff.

There isn't to really be said from what's already announced previously... other from a handful of new dungeons, existing classes with new genders and races to play as (Elin Gunner, Male Human Brawler), and the enchanting system is being overhauled. They've also brought back etchings to the crafting system, added gem crafting for alchemy (you need them for enchanting/crafting now instead of just sellback)... However, it's really up to you to decide what you're excited for.

The game is dead right now, this leveling event doesn't stimulate people to participate thanks to the garbage rewards. Endgame is boring and takes to long thanks to the endurance and hp buff. Most people just log in for Harrowhold or SCEM statics and can't be bothered to log in for other reasons.

I have to admit bosses in dungeons are a tad bit too tanky but Im not saying they are easy they just too tanky.

I would suggest join a guild. Usually guildies are pretty happy to help you out with levelling and maybe they'll even organise a group run if theres enough people. It's always fun with more people :P
Rolling a healer or a tank also helps to speed up leveling. I have a healer and a tank char, I find it much faster to queue dungeons with these two compared to my dps warrior and sorc characters.

and if those people never log in, we won't miss them and you claim they are the only ones coming to the game?

Many players are leveling and they don't care for rewards, que pops for Kumas, Dungeons too fast, even for dps players.

So game is not dead yet but I wonder some players Ego dies when.

It's not the hours you're getting on. The game has been pretty dead for at least weeks. It was slightly more active before but not by much.

They did have a pretty big ban sweep a few months back on people using 3rd party programs and hacking the tera reward store.

Everyone on CH will say no the server is fine, but it is the same 40-60 players daily. Most afk for selling stuff.

IMS que times have been weird for weeks even as a tank it can take 30min for certain dunegons 417+ rating

I have 17 characters on CH and can say for certain outside of a fe wpeople farming the summer event for boxes and same people for the xp event for the VM scrolls.

Tera at this stage needs something good to keep it populated cause the top gold holders on the realm don't spend gold back into anything but emp or deathwrack. Most sit on the gold and has pretty muchly killed the flow of buying and selling items in general.

Just play for fun and try to get used to it.
