Have you even been here since beta? Game was loaded until vm3-vm4 and still sustains an OK amount of people.
  • If you're looking for a good FTP MMORPG, then yes, TERA is the best one by far. However, if you're wondering about what is currently dead in the game (and I posted this elsewhere before), this is putting it very bluntly:

    Crafting: Dead
    Questing: Dead
    Party Farming/BAM Grinding: Dead
    Open World Content: Dead
    Content in General: Dead
    PvP: Dead
    Forums: Dead
    Communication with EME: Dead
Communication with BHS: Has been and always will be dead
    Communication with Developers: Dead
Transparency: Was dead, brought back to life for two weeks a while ago, now it's dead again
    Playing as tanks: Dead
Playing as healers: Not as dead as tanks, but still kind of dead

End Game Grinding: Not dead for some reason. I guess it's the combat?

This is just... depressing. *takes another shot of vodka*

In my perspective, a MMORPG isn't dead until the last human life parts ways... the only thing left would be the NPCs that fill the void of once was player activity. I've played MMORPGs where now they only have 15~45 players, which spans across it's 4 servers, and 56 channels... and to this day that MMORPG still runs for reasons unknown... some say it's haunted by the memories of what was once an active community... who knows.

Actually that is a MMORPG I've played but no, I wasn't talking about that one. This game I'm talking about was another Korean MMORPG I played for a couple of years back in 2006... It was called "Metin2". This game has jumped so many publishers, and it's been shut down a couple of years ago only to be brought back again (officially with a new publisher)... it's interesting to see MMORPGs live beyond it's death, hanging only by a few players. I used to play it along side "Everquest Online Adventures" for the PS2, but I know EQOA will never official come back like Metin2 did... oh how I miss these memories so...

I don't have much time to play and when I come home from work to enjoy this game. I spend whole evening getting a full party through LFG as a +15 dw brawler lol. Getting a DPS for VHNM/VHHM takes forever so we always end up instance matching or disbanding the party.

yee, and besto hasmters server ( oly need capibaras and all is fine )
  • Tera is not dead my dear friends.....To be honest Tera is the best MMORPG . Actually Tera is thousand times better than every other MMORPG games, including World of Warcraft. You have to be thankful for playing this game. First of all thankful to God, and then to Enmasse.....I lose everything in Tera Eu(europe). My account is banned unfair... I lose my characters... my items my collector account my gears, my mounts and my TC 1 month, but I will never think the game is dead.. I hope now you are better man with better thoughts about the game.
Now I am here with you, and I think the game is LIVE and THANKS THE GOD for this:)
    God bless you:)

PvE has a moderate amount of players, PvP is completely dead.

You can also check steam charts to give you an idea of hard numbers, I would assume most players use the launcher however steam charts isn't going to show you something drastically different, it's not like there's a different type of person using steam compared to launcher, the trends should be the same.

    http://steamcharts.com/app/323370

Population overall is extremely low in comparison to other games and compared to what it once was it may as well be in a coffin.

I still play but not that often, mostly for the few friends who still do play regularly and I almost never need to worry about gold unlike most players.

But I probably wouldn't recommend it to a new player, it's just not worth it.

10k players on 2k15, then it dropped to like 3k, wasnt that when cu came out? lol, that kinda shows how [filtered] it is compared to crusades

If you use steam charts to measure the Tera population then you would never come with the real number of players in the game.

However something that is truth, Tera lose those players and even more because steam charts don't show us how many get on-line using the launcher outside steam and I don't think Tera hasn't lost more players that steam charst makes us think.

Also another thing to take into account is that Tera got more than 20k players throught Steam and after 2 years only 15% of them are still playing the game. Then again that is only for Steam charst and not the actual and real amount of players in the game.
