Can Tempest Reach be move to a more realiable server

its seems Tempest Reach gets DC more than any server on EME, i feel like if they transfer the server to a new host or platform with better reliability server crashes wont happen so often...

    I actually have only had the server crash this one time (must have been at work all other times).

    but you have to realize that moving and upgrading of servers are seriously, seriously costly, and games like TERA will only do so if it's an immediate issue, like an entire server dying completely and having to be migrated to another, or something similar. I'm pretty sure En Masse doesn't have the money to freely upgrade every single server.

    Hell keeping a server up and running alone is costly enough, upgrading or moving to another server is just more terrible.

    And that's understandable, 100%. However, if they don't have the money, they can't upgrade or move TR to another server. (I'm from TR myself.) You have to look at it from a company's stand point. If the server were to completely die, they'd replace it immediately. However, that isn't the case here, and I'd be willing to bet that they can't upgrade at the moment, and have to work with what they have at the moment.

    I think there still alot of people spending money on Tera cuz of the costumes and events. its been like this for a while. if they show a little love to TR server so quality of play will improve for players that means more player maybe more consumers on EMP. so its a win win for EME and the community. i think its a sound investment in the long run. instead of player running away cuz of server lag and overall instability

    Yes, but if you think about it, with Server Transfers being out for a while, that's a big dent in their money.

    Just because people sit here and spend money on the game all day doesn't necessarily mean they have the money to pay out for a new server. You have to realize, i'm pretty sure they have bills to pay; i.e: Power, internet, water, food, computers, etc on top of their server bills. If they don't have their own server farm, which I doubt they do, they also pay a rack bill, which is very costly. (Thousands of dollars, depending on their provider and plan with said provider.)

    I know it doesn't seem like it, but TR doesn't crash more than other servers. But obviously, everyone remembers their own server crashes most (and that's what brings them to the forums). If you watch the forum, you always see these "why is it always <my server here>" after every major crash event. MT, CH, AV, and FF have all also seen similar threads.

    In any case, hope they fix the root cause of the crash so it doesn't impact the event for future weekends. (The cause is more likely to be software than hardware, but I guess they'll have to check the logs to find out.)

    TR doesn't crash more often than any other server. It just feels that way because you play on it.
