Why so much Elins????

You will get troll responses because if you use the search bar or google, you can get some results in why people play Elins. It is a known fact that there are min-maxing behind such choice afterall. It does seem a bit weird for an experienced player to not know the several reason why people play Elins, but I guess EU isn't very similar to NA in such regard. Well, KTERA doesnt stick with all Elins there either since they have quite a good mix of races-- still, like 3 out of 5 are Elins due to Elin Gunner release and the event related to it gives free flying mount and new cosmetic so people are nuts over it.

Anyways, to be honest, I can't blame you-- It took a me long time to realize why people do so. And why do research when you can throw off a question and get some answers?

But you've only gotten one formal response. here is why:

In general, people will not be serious with answering questions if the topic seem "trollish". Regardless of writer's style, such writing has little or no formality. Sure, it gets to the point clearly, but the formality of it is non-existent for people to take it seriously. It is better to ignore such responses rather than feeding them with more entertainment. Forums are place for Keyboard warriors afterall-- except vast majority lack in effective DPS doing so.

The other issue that people seem to be butt hurt about is that you've just generallized all Elin players are pedos, simple as that. Calling out an entire group as some kind of crimminal is pretty offensive regardless. And you can't say this isn't expected as you've said:

Obviously majority of comments will be from butthurt Elin players judging from that statistics.

I get that people can hate Elins and the possibility of "pedos" behind the characters, but as much as people have reason to hate, there are plenty of reasons to love too.

Personally, I'm Elin player just because I want to be as pink as possible, and I'm quite attracted to cute little things.

But if Elins weren't there, i'd probably be Aman Males since they look prettydam badasz.

OP, if you genuinely didn't want to troll, you were curious about why people play them, you should have left out the last sentence of your 1st post on the topic. Simple as that. Just ask why are they so popular and over with the topic.

In my case, I'm a male, and as you've seen from this shitstorm, we get called pedos cause yes. I like them because I like cute girls (which in turn makes them call me a f*g), I really like anime and the culture surrounding it (so Elins fit well and all the maid uniforms and such) and also Japanese culture, how girls dress up there and such. This is my type so the closest one, the cutest one, is Elin. Whenever I play with Castanic, Human or Elf, I also tend to make them as cute as possible, which usually proves to be quite a feat. There's a big difference between just looking pretty/beautiful even, and cute.
Why I play with them tho? Cause I'm not the one there, I'm just making a character run around slashing stuff or healing people, so I want something that pleases me to watch instead of something I identify with. If this was some full VR game or heck some full dive à la Sword Art Online then I likely would make a male character that looks like me. I would have to move like myself after all. In that situation it would be awkward playing female, but since I don't need it, then... something cute is better for me.

Well,as i say,this is a free game in a free world,people can do whatever they want and play whatever they want. But i found Elins ideal for pedos. ElinLove i like Japanesse cartoons too (well i liked in my 16-24 y/o) now i have 31,but i never make an Elin. Well, this one looks just way too Elf like for me, I mean we got a race that does all this save for ears and tails... that's it. Ears you can even buy the item that gives them it.
It's all a matter of tastes, just NOT touching the [filtered] topic is the best way to avoid shitstorms, since, well, it's literally asking "Hey, are you all [filtered] offenders or criminals?"

Well, I would beg to differ from being someone who gets sexual arousal from small children... For a very long time, I've always played as a small and/or animal race simply because I'm short and... I love my pets. In all of the games I played, no one has questioned me if I liked small children... and I've played a lot of small races: Gnomes from EQOA and WoW, Tarutaru from FFXI, Lalafell from FFXVI, Lyn from BnS, Lilty from FFCC EoT and older games that allowed you to modify your proportion like in PSOBB. I believe it's really about what makes you feel more immersed in the game, instead of just sexual interest... If I played a game mainly for sexual desire, I'd probably get bored of seeing the same thing over, and over again.

Idk about the rest of you guys, but this seems like classic projection. OP has "tendencies" towards chars that seem like underage girls, therefore to cope with the issues, OP goes full defensive and calls out everyone else to make themselves seem more normal, at least in their twisted mind. Shrug. It's whatever tho, I'll get on Tera after work and play one of my elin chars. Need to finish my alt priests misery gear, and rng is kicking my [filtered]
