Loot boxes... Bad deals
Ok so I have a complaint and I have to say it here even if people troll me for it because it’s eating me inside. I know many are tired of reading about it but here we go. Loot boxes are a scam as how they are set now! Let me explain, I don’t mind spending hundreds of dollars in a game but I sure as hell would like something in return that’s worth it. After buying $120 in EMP (14,200) and spending half in Volcanic Armor Loot Boxes and half in Nighfury Loot Boxes and got only mats, I just think it’s a huge lie and encourage anyone so not even entertain the thought of buying them.
I don’t even see the benefit of Elite anymore after seen what just happened to $120 of my cash so I will be pulling out of it as well. Yes I know it was my choice to go for it and spend that cash but I have done it many times in other MMOS and I get something worth my money. Like I said, I don’t have problems in spending cash in MMOS but I want more than [filtered] mats. I have heard that the RNG in this game was bad but I didn’t know it’s was this bad. It's bad business to buy into your store now so I will pull out and return to it if you fix it.
If you spend just $20 (2200 EMP) I think it’s fair if you get screwed but $40(4600 EMP) should be more than enough to get your money’s worth. The economy in the game is now [email protected] and this make it worst.

Im not a big fan of loot boxes, but when I buy some, I always get expensive stuff.
2 Boxes - Royal Iron Dragon
1 Box - Demon Castanica
2- Empowered basic Inner
1- Fortified Basic Inner
and the list goes on, so If you feel like it isnt a good way to invest your money, you better sell that EMP, and get gold, then go to the Broker and buy what you want without worries.
I can say to make DW +15 is equaly as expensive or even more, but you always have the chance to sell the EMP or MATS and buy what you want.
Its easy.

Yeah, not to be a broken record, but this is really what's needed. Of course, even if there were a cap, I doubt it would be $40 like the OP suggests, but still -- at least knowing there is an end in sight is important and restores some faith in the system if someone has a string of bad luck.
I sorry but i just don't buy it. It's bad RNG and if you spend $40 you should be grantee something that's equal or a little less in worth. I just think that as it's stands now it's a scam. 40$ should guarantee to get you something worth wild. In regards selling EMP, i never considered that because i didn't know you could do that.
And here's why this is a bad idea: Let's say they did it and if you bought $40 worth of boxes, you get at least $40 worth of items out of it. With the potential to get $400 worth of items from it. Would you ever buy a non-RNG item from the cash shop? Obviously, you wouldn't. Eventually those items will become so scarce, their price will skyrocket. Then you'll need your loot boxes readjusted as the $40 worth of items from before are not worth $40 any more. The end result being, f2p players say "beep this beep, I'm out". And then your $40 are worth nothing because there's nobody interested in buying your stuff.
Not everyone has $40 to spend and so this is why it will work. How can you say that $40 or EMP has a 80-100% chance to get you nothing? No, it's wrong and greed is the word here. The RNG is broken and purposely broken in my opinion.
Hmm, i don't know that dragons and volcanic armors will be going that way.

No, @TWMagimay is right about that point. There are good systems you can put in place to counterbalance RNG (like a failure cap and stated odds), but if there's going to be any RNG at all, it can't be set so low. Not everyone has $40 to spend, but some people have thousands to spend. That's how gacha works (whether you like it or not). If everyone won the prize after so few rolls, they'd be leaving tons of money on the table and the "prizes" would have no value.
I mean, if I could have my preference, everything would be direct-buy at upfront prices and we'd call it a day, but it's obvious from a marketing perspective why this would never fly.
I understand but the current system is way out of line and needs to be fixed. I think $40-$50 should grantee something. Maybe not worth the $40-$50 exactly but close it to it. That way it makes you feel good after you buy it. This really bother me because I just threw away $120 and that to me is wrong. Give me something that will not make me feel like I just got raped is what i'm asking.
