Any news or patch notes about today's maintenance?

Good morning,

Has EME released any news about today's maintenance? I would assume that it's simply to insert the stuff about today's End of Summer sale but I have the impression a maintenance is not required to do that.

Interestingly enough, Gameforge is also doing a maintenance today and they are quite transparent about why (from GF website):

"It has come to our attention that the in game usage of exploits and cheats that allow for an unfair gameplay advantage in both PvP and PvE contents has been increasing. Due to this, a security patch will be applied to fix exploitable issues. Please note that due to this change, some currently tolerated tools will also stop working altogether. While in the past we’ve tolerated partial usage of non-malicious tools in Europe, we are convinced that blocking malicious usages must be a priority to protect the integrity of the game and believe this is in the best interest of the TERA community.

Thank you for your understanding. The TERA Team"

Is EME doing the same thing? Are the mEMEslashing days finally over?

ya probably. but dw, it will easily get cracked within the day
  • Maybe it's a "call-out" but my post was also to to point out how transparent GF is about their maintenance and how secretive EME is. But honestly I don't blame EME cause our community absolutely loves to poop on anything they do.

Hopefully they'll implement some additional countermeasures against cheating and not just try to disable the third party tools, because it's unlikely the makers of said tools will have much trouble finding workarounds.

Hello IQ, I am playing from Iran, it is at the top of the list of worst internet providers. ROFL.

This is good, we can see the actual 3rd party users again, crying and attack me again and show the nature of being in the forums.
