The only way I think it can is changind the resolution on your video settings. I don't think fonts size can be changed.
I play on PC but I play laying the bed 3 metters from the TV, even with that fonts are hard to read.
The option is for all the UI, you are right it does change the font size but for all UI elements, sadly it can't be done for each UI element.
have you tried the line under UI scale that says ~ " scale combat elements " ~ that has a hp/mp next to it , the hp/mp is a drop down list that can change individual items size on/in your screen all but chat from memory so you can change your res then enlarge general UI then cut most but chat back to your workable wanted size
Sorry, I know my english sucks, I am not saying you can't change those but the others, ie. in-game chat, dialog boxes, LFG window, etc. The only option that you have to increase the size of UI elements will do it for all of those the same and you cant chose individually. Then if you need only the dialog boxes to be bigger so you can read from a distance you will make everything else (UI elements) bigger also.
that's where you go in to scale combat elements and reduce the others down after making all big so everything doesn't stay big just in-game chat, dialog boxes
ive read enough of your posts over a long time I pretty much can understand what your meaning with your english so I'm ok with that , I'm not here to cut you down
I like small UI but its not readable. My monitor isn't big enough.

Worked like a charm thank you so much i cant now get the story from quests without hurtting my eyes
And it still won't change the size of the print in some wimdows. Old VG window. BG window.
Holy necro batman!
Anyways, no your elite-related items will not become useless, you can still open Elite Boxes without having Elite. (If you can't, that's a bug.)
I believe you get reward points when purchasing Elite, because you're spending money, and that's just a perk you get, is reward points. You get them when you spend EMP, such as Bank Expansions, Wardrobe Expansions, etc.
