Why does tera takes more than 71 GB when in the specifications it says 45-55 GB?

I dont understand why but i started downloading tera and i let my computer run overnight for it because it took too much time and when i woke up it said i dont have enough space. when i checkd tera took more than 71 GB space on my computer and i cant figure out why. Please help!

    I think it has something to do with patches unpacking on your computer, after fully downloading the game they sould delete themselfs and go back to 41gb

    when you download you need 2 time more space than the size of your file

    On a serious note though it's the temp files. Once you've completed the download and installation of the game the temp files will be removed and it'll be about 41GB. I'd suggest either clearing disk space or using another drive. If you're trying to get TERA on your SSD and there isn't enough space on your SSD, download and install to your HDD, then move the files to SSD later.

I'd suggest either clearing disk space or using another drive. If you're trying to get TERA on your SSD and there isn't enough space on your SSD, download and install to your HDD, then move the files to SSD later.

    In fact you don't ever need to re-install TERA if you keep an installed (compressed or not, no reason to compress tho, space saving is minimal) copy on another drive or another location than the one you run from. Once installed, whatever the place you move the files to, it will run. That's how I pass TERA for my friends, instead of the 25GB installer file, I just give them my installed copy.

    That actually WAS a useful insight, seeing that OP had huge space usage issues or confused about it, having more people show what's their normal always helps.
