Why a 24 hour slot-taking wait to delete reaper?

So played priest more then any other class and I wanted to try a DPS. I saw I could pick reaper, who starts a level 50,didnt like it too much. as the whip like attacks feel weird and makes attacking groups rather disorienting when using skills. but cause reaper starts above level 40 you have to wait to delete it. looking into that, it's cause the starting quest's gave rewards and people farmed battle solutions with the starting items. went to delete and I have to wait 24 hours cause of this? why not make it so you have to wait 24 hours before making another reaper, looking into it,it's also cause "the character is a high level and they want to make sure you want it to happen and your not making a bad decision" though with reaper starting at 50, "hours of farming" and "like 30 minutes of skill unlocking" kinda differ.
if you ask me it should be a different level where the 24 hour timer starts for reaper, and if you delete the reaper before that you have to wait 24 hours before making another.
prevents the abuse of the starter items, still keeps deletion with a safety timer in case you change your mind, and doesn't take a character slot so you can try other classes. on a related note are warrior/berserker any good. (PVP server)

This is not the reason at all. Characters have always had a 24 hour wait if they're above level 40 to prevent people from stealing others' accounts and deleting their characters. I assure you no one was farming battle solutions when reaper came out, considering battle solutions weren't even in the game yet.

People did farm the charms and campfire that you got, though. Or even did the story quest to 65 to get all the gold (which was a good amount) then delete and make a new Reaper. Some people said it was the best way to farm gold back then.

It was a good way to make gold for little effort, especially if you did it on more than one account at once. Buying the 2x creds/2x gold from rewards paid for themselves and generated profit. Niveots at the time sold for a good amount.
  • In what [filtered] world was spending 4 hours leveling better than 80k gph?

    1. How do you make that amount?
    2. I said "some people said", doesn't necessarily mean it is the best.

    3. How do you spend 4h levelling a reaper to 65?
  • ..pretty easy to do really I had a friend back then who bought character slots just to make reapers level to 65 get all the loot they could from hitting 65 deleting afterwards rinse and repeat making over 100k a day it's just super grindy extremely tedious and very boring. There were faster more efficient ways but if you wanted quick gold this was the way to do it. It doesn't work anymore though.

I recall a player named "Third.Gold.Farmer" that was a random 1st preset reaper. This one later vanished and the "Fourth.Gold.Farmer" came up. Ye, people really did it back when it made some sense.

Still I would also imagine that it's just the same Lv 40+ timer than any other, but for some dumb (lazy) reason it wasn't set to Reaper at like Lv 60 or so.
