PvP over the last two months.
PvP has always been neglected in TERA. This is nothing new. But the last two months in particular have been ridiculous.
For July, Talismans were removed from BG Jackpots, essentially gating PvPers from gearing.
https://forums.enmasse.com/tera/discussion/comment/160518/#Comment_160518
The reason given was "a new event as a means of distributing them... a part of our plan for [July]"

This supposed event ended up never happening.
In a thread asking about talismans, Spacecats replied

https://forums.enmasse.com/tera/discussion/16717/battleground-rewards-and-talisman-of-lakan/p2
The excuse provided was that actually they had two events, except both were PvE.
He also said "Expect Halrath to follow up with the TERA team's August plans soon, just like he originally said"
August rolled around, Halrath never followed up. His most recent PvP post is https://forums.enmasse.com/tera/discussion/16898/august-battleground-calendar
Which for some reason wasn't even stickied in the PvP subforum. Instead, the July BG thread is still sticked. The September thread is instead sticked under News and Announcements subforum.
Also, on July 20, Spacecats posted this thread https://forums.enmasse.com/tera/discussion/16648/ideas-for-improving-existing-bgs/p1 seemingly interested in improving PvP. Though he restricted discussion regarding PvP rewards, the thread has now reached 24 pages and has had more views, more posts than any other thread posted in these last 2 months.
Despite being tagged multiple times in that thread, his latest reply was July 20 https://forums.enmasse.com/tera/discussion/comment/165024/#Comment_165024. On page TWO of a whopping 24 page thread. The thread has not received a GM response in more than a month at this point. We have also seen none of the proposed changes in that thread.
They did, however, quietly add Talismans back to the jackpot. Unfortunately the drop rates leave much to be desired.
Now it is September, and we have gotten nothing.
Talismans were removed for a month, and we were give no compensation.
On return, they were added at rates so low they might as well not have bothered.
Beyond talismans, PvP rewards still don't begin to compare to PvE.
The PvP event/means/plans we were implicitly promised never happened and likely never will.
The suggestions on improving battlegrounds have gone ignored and similiarly will likely never happen either.
Other longstanding issues with PvP (such as the disappearance of our leaderboards) are still ongoing.
Meanwhile, there have been at least 4 PvE events in this time, 5 if you count the double drop event from end of June extending over to the start of July.

As mentioned already, PvP management in TERA has always been a sad story, but at least in the past it we were never lied to or lead on for months.

Also many are done with exploits in BGs which is not being addressed by BHS for fixes.
So, BHS killed OW PVP for NA Tera, then the past couple of months they killed BG PVP for NA Tera and they expect us to send them Gift Cards once awhile with a Thank You BHS you are doing so good for us.
stuff that you can already do pretty easy
- add uneq PvP
- add level 30+ que for CS
- bring back crusades and leaderboards
- fix the credit system or have some form of tokens drop (like receipt) that can be traded for vm9 mats
- nerf CU bams
- give a superior etching box guaranteed for participating in CU instead of RNG
stuff you'd have to beg BHS to get but might work
- implement buffs/debuffs in CU so #1 guild last week gets a debuff
- give a debuff for sniping bam that lasts X amount of time this'll allow more smaller guilds a better chance and incentive to try
- implement alliances but with restrictions on total members allowed inside/debuffs added
This sounds like it'd be hard to code but it'd fix CU I think. Let's say two smaller guilds ally up and their total number of players is 50 inside CU, it'd be like they were in a bigger raid and they'll be able to fight alongside each other. But they'd get a minor debuff for having 50 players, but if Manifest/Ama ally up and they have let's say 200 players in their alliance then they'd get a major debuff. I believe this is the only legitimate way to counter zergs or fight monopolies in Civil Unrest, and it'd give smaller guilds a real incentive to show up.
The first suggestions would make PvP alive, the 2nd would make it great again. I doubt I'll get a response but I'm gonna harass you some more anyways @Spacecats
> BHS or EME never promise you can gear up easily only with PvP.
You can not gear up easly with pvp have you leave under a rock? XD you rarely get any mats you get plenty of x50 feedstock i do admit pvp part is dead and it doesnt help with the hackers. Alot of the time i would think we wouldnt have this bad of a community rate of hackers if certain thingd wasnt lacking or difficult
I will add though, I did a FEW days of bgs in June, and I did not once see talisman as a reward. I do not believe I even saw banners, badges, or scales even ONCE. Yes, the rates were utterly pathetic. Complaints in the pvp board were everywhere.
However, during August, similar thing, I have only participated in maybe 5 days total, but I have already seen a handful of talisman, badges, banners, scales, etc. in those few days. And at least dragon scales are gone! Isn't that something to be happy about?! Hell I'd have my darn DW wep and maybe even gloves by now if I took part in bgs every day throughout the whole of August. And complaints made in pvp board are nothing to what complains were made in June/July.
I agree though, the drop rates for pvp are still insanely low compared to pve.
> watch thread get moved to pvp subforum and left for dead as a result. lmao

I stopped complaining about the talisman badges and banners because they don't fix the drop rate.
I do hundreds of battlegrounds a month and iv seen maybe 10 non tradeable mats out of 100+ matches.
:T i honestly feel like they did increase it at least a bit. Well, maybe it's just that scales appear less, so they "appear " more.
Personally I've seen about 10 non tradeable mats in under 50 matches :T
Even so, at this rate, I'm not satisfied with it enough. TOo much feedstock.
lel I doubt it. they probably took the low complaints from august as "drop rate must be good enough, leave as is"
hmm apparently someone from my guild got their full dw set from bgs
damn
