So about the broken unannounced events

First I want to say that having unannounced events is fine. They're a good way of getting people to rally up and they're pretty fun/competitive. However, if they're on for such short periods of time AND have massive rewards, then there's a huge problem.

Some people have gotten over 600 Argon Boxes in under an hour. Many more have gotten more than 400-500 easily. That's 50x more than what your scheduled Argon events have, which have the whole server working together for the same amount of time. That's about 8k T11 FS, 20k Noct, 160 Dragon Scales, and several Jetcycles/Chromaplasms. I don't really think I need to explain why this is ok.

    Technically, they did warn us it was going to happen randomly but it was surprise on the increased reward.
    This will probably happen again so make sure to look for the global announcement. :D

    Did this actually happen? Are you guys telling me that in 1 hour people got argon boxes worth of what I got in 2 weeks from the event? There wasn't even a big announcement for this and I missed this? Thank you for ruining my motivation to play Tera even more. Seriously nothing but bad decisions from Enmasse's side, but this is just downright stupid.

    Yeah honestly, what's the point of playing and having normal event times? So my options are always be logged in and watching for an announcement, or just stop playing because EME will never learn how to manage a community. Do you guys not realize how badly this can hurt the playerbase? Everyone that has hunted and suffered through meldita and shandra, especially at bad spawn points, has been slapped in the face. That doesn't make for happy players.

    This is an incredibly stupid thing to do, since it allows people who were lucky enough to be on for the random for farm more boxes than people who turned up for ALL the scheduled events put together...

    Nice way to [filtered] off so many players when to put it mildly EME reputation has has taken a battering...

    For me it's fine that people who didn't just log in for the main event got lucky like this and I have no hard feelings to those who were able to farm that many boxes. Grats to those who were able to get so many! I hope I'll get lucky like this too.
    Due to the increased amount of boxes, the prices of skins etc. are so low that if you're after a certain piece, it doesn't hurt at all to just buy it from the broker ^.^

    I agree that they're lucky and all, but it feels really bad to players participating in way more events and putting more time in the events. This is proof though, just afk in highwatch and wait for something like this to happen. Don't participate in events or play at all, then when you see something like this happen, participate for a few hours. After doing that and you made 200-400k gold you can afk for a few months till another thing like this happens.

    The issue is that they didn't actually need to... farm. It was raid-wide loot and it was just about how many your raid killed.

    I don't have a issue with people getting lucky. I do have an issue with most peoples' work getting invalidated by a random event that gave literally 50x more than a scheduled event does. 3 weeks of 24 a day is 504 boxes. Some people got more than that in UNDER AN HOUR from a random event. All those consumables also take an extremely long time to farm through normal methods.

    It isnt a competetion on who gets the most boxes, someone else having more doesn't negate what you gathered yourself.

    I personally miss it this morning. ofc I would have love to participate but I aint Salty because other people enjoyed it.
