Only if you intend to sell it.
If your goal is go buy and open, you dont lose anything Kamizuma
exactly this, @kamizuma is right, or even those who farmed them in casual/normal way. I mean SB is 6G lol.
I don't know why EME is not considering player council on event's rewards. They could help, events are great, all kind of them, but less broken reward would be better lol
false. You're forgetting that this devalues +15 even more which means it puts more pressure on those that do not have +15 to have +15 as more people in the game have +15.
again, that goes in the same category of trying to make money, In your recent example, making money to +15.
If that's not your goal, I dont see the disavantage of a small portion of the community having more.
it doesnt respond of why we cant have kamizuma avatar
I didn't know tera was a single player game, my mistake.
Did you ever wonder why over the past 1.5 years it has been increasingly expected/demanded that people have +15? It's not just about making money; whether you like it or not you're being compared with everyone else in this game because it's a multi-player game.
Let's say you farmed this event everyday but missed today. All your hard work over the past weeks progression-wise is negated by the people that were online for this one because the standard has now been upped.
Let's say you missed out on all of these events because you're busy/timezone whatever. You're now way behind everyone progressionwise because they've had unnatural progression rates due to the timely nature of this event.
In both cases this is true whether you were farming the event to open boxes for yourself and using or selling the boxes/materials for gold. Gold is always a measure of time and nobody likes their time being devalued or wasted because of things like this.
This affects EVERYONE because it's a MMORPG. Those people that easily got +15 handed to them now raise the standard for everyone else to have better gear. This will be reflected in stricter lfgs/guild reqs, decreased value of time dependent farmed items (things that come from iod/gg/ect) because the new time meta and consequent pricing will reflect farming achieved through better gear, ect.
The bottom line is everything has far more reaching consequences because so many things in this game are related to another due to it being a MULTIplayer game that has progression as its main gameplay and you cannot deny this.
i'm special
Everything you said is true if you want to compare yourself to other, I don't. So that part of the argument is not relevant to this situation.
This is the way I am since 2012 when I started playing and I was still able to do everything this game had to offer.
If I want to play this game as a ''single player'' game why cant I? It doesnt affect anyone else but myself.
I know a lot of people that about +15 this + 15 that.. This does nothing to me because this game is more to me than that.
more people getting boxes mean the price go down and I can just buy more (because I already have the money)
You have a different way to play the game, that alright. As long as each player can find a way they can enjoy, thats great no?
see now that's a mistake. How many people nowadays can say they've been playing since 2012? You're not looking at the bigger picture again. Sure individually it means nothing to you but this game is bigger than just you & me. Yes you are correct that events like this are godsends for people with gold because tragedy of the masses allows us to gain even more for even less effort. However, most people don't have the resources to take advantage of these events the way I intend to. In addition, events like this are highly insulting to people that did put in more effort and those people are now encouraged to just afk until the next event. When enough of those people end up finding other games to fill their time and not coming back that's when it actually affects me & you. The only reason I speak out against these events is because in the LONG RUN it does way more harm than good.
Even if you're not selling it the item still has a lower value. The rewards are an incentive due to the value whether being sold or kept. If all items have their value dropped to 0 then no one would bother with events. This is why when events mostly drop common accessories there are complaints from both sides. Those selling won't get gold out of it and those keeping it already had an enormous supply to get for a low price or already have 100+ of said items.
Keep fighting the Good Fight Kamizuma. I agree with you on that subject
If we want to talk about the bigger picture that's a different discussion from what I was saying on a personal level.
I might not be the norm on this ( I'm a special case) but in no way this is a disadvantage to me. ( Even if I say that, I do not encourage this type of actions for the Good of TERA)
So however it goes down, everyone loses on some level.
