Wanted/Needed classes?

What are some the "wanted" classes these days? I am a MMO veteran and new to Tera. I can play any role and do it well, I prefer to play roles that will be most effective at their job. I am hoping you guys will be able to give me suggestions on which class I should look to play...for example if its Tank, which one overall does its job the best...I dont care about difficulty.

    As always tanks are in higher demand over other roles. Arguably lancer does the tank job the best in terms of holding aggro whilst offering plenty of party support.

    As a healer, I have trouble getting into parties sometimes. My guilds always seems to have a surplus of healers, but not a surplus of tanks. The tank classes are as follows:

    Brawler: newest tank. Very fun to play, considered a burst damage tank. They can do almost as much damage as a DPS. Compared to Lancer it lacks a lot of the party buffs Lancer has. Also fairly easy once you understand how Fury works and how maximize it.

    Lancer: classic tank. I personally like to play Lancer. Unlike Brawler it doesn't have an auto block so you need actively pay attention to the fight and block, this amps up it's difficulty a tad. Also has a lot of party enhancing buffs, like Adrenaline Rush and Guardian Shout.

    Warrior: evasive tank. Probably the most difficult tank? My GM plays Warrior Tank (arguably one of the best if not *the* best) and I'm sure she'd try to convince you it's the BEST TANK EVER OMG. It plays very differently from the other tanks in which the role is to evade the attacks not block them.

    Berserker: Zerk is a DPS class and a few years ago they added the option for them to tank. It's never been touched again or adjusted and as such its not really an option.

    Thanks for the information guys! I will be making a Lancer Tank. Im a huge fan of Paladin tanking style with a shield.

    I just wanted to warn that this is -slightly- different from Warcraft. A VERY -bit-
    I wouldn't advise play lancer any new player. Just because it needs to know tacs and most important stuff to be successful before start playing lancer.
    Tera isn't Warcraft and other mmos. Better to learn playing something more easy.

    Ah, such a shame you are new. Back in the day you could've gotten the Kingsbane skin which turned your lance into a giant sword.
