Sorcerer no CC til 40, Mystic no ToP til 50, Low level bosses insane HP..
What was the goal of these changes? I understand some of the changes were good for some classes, but it feels like a lot of these changes weren't well thought out. Mystic is so weird to play (questing) with no Thrall. Sorcerer has no way to keep monsters away from them for 40+ levels. Also Low level dungeons are a total waste of time to do with bosses having ridiculous HP for their level. I beat on the lady that spawns Soulcrusher in BoL for like 5 minutes yesterday and didnt kill her. Why would anyone bother with the leveling dungeons anymore? And, you removed the solo versions also?
I am just asking what the goal of these changes was? Leveling was kinda a chore before, but now a lot of classes just feel weird. Top that off with having to rebuy a bunch of skills I already had on my 65 characters AND figure out where they went on my hotbars, its all kind of a mess.

The goal was to change the way the classes progressed skill wise so they felt they had more buttons to press.
There's nothing wrong with facetanking. You should also technically be in a party with a tank and a healer.
Mystics aren't really designed around thralls either.
I think OP meant solo leveling in OW. Because this game used to have an actual storyline. CC was also a signature sorc tactic for low level PvP. Both of this is gone now.
Maybe BHS thought that CC became useless and getting skills that are useless till endgame PvP so early was confusing new players. I agree it feels anti-climatic and class should give proper impression from the start, now gameplay experience suddenly changes midway (not only sorc but mainly war tank, also mystic that suddenly becomes off-tank at 50 then lose it at 65; only fixed for war dps because now it's all about scything from early on).
I'm not too familiar with when you get the updated skills, but Sorc CC doesn't really work too well because of the lack of attack speed. For PvE, Sorc should have gotten Hail Storm early to kite and Lightning Trap for stuns against bosses so you can Meteor them.
I guess they moved Mystic ToP because it was stealing aggro from low level tanks too much. Against mobs, they should still easily kill them with just Blast Smite spam.
Though I agree that it's dumb that Dstance got moved to the 50s while still being able to queue as a tank.
they were designed around thralls...you must be new here. and bosses aren't the only thing effected or not effected by CC skills..you know they aren't the only mob in the game right? you do also know you don't need to party for every damn thing right? or at least you didn't.
they had no reason to move thrall of protection, no mystic worth anything would pull one out in a party with a tank unless the tank sucked or to get agro from adds. then there's staggers from mobs which was why thralls and CC were important since it lets you avoid have skills interrupted. something rather vital to sorcs since they RELY on their skills and being clothies can get staggered/kd'd if a mob sneezes.
none of this update makes any damn sense.
Some people keep saying that but I doubt anyone experienced it. As I said, leveled 2 tanks via IM and it happened maybe once - compared to like hundreds of runs that would be waaaay longer without tank or thrall and chaotic jumping around. And that one time I just had to explain thrall is for no-tank party only because DPS contribution is minimal.
That behavior is almost nonexistent compared to amount of mystics who dps instead of healing, but that's not the reason to block all their dps skills when in party. This is mmo game, sometimes you need to interact with other ppl to learn you are supposed to buff/debuff/backcrit etc.
