Friendship Achievements

Hi all,

Someone saw that I was looking for people to add to my friend list in order to complete the 40 person achievement and said that those do not count toward laurels. They said the friendship achievements count as 'special achievements' even though they aren't in the special tab. Was this person right? I see people asking for adds all the time.

    as far as I know the achievement to add friends gives points towards laurels
    they might have innocently been thinking about the other friendship achievements (the ones using the bonds of friendship system) which do not
