Why does only mystic get the reworked lockon system?
If BHS has developed an updated lockon system why not roll it out to all applicable classes at once?

It's a shame priest is in such a bad place right now, since that's your only option if you want to heal in tera without falling asleep. I can't see a scenario where someone who enjoys healing in an action combat game would be happy with these changes that further automate mystics and turn them into a truly braindead class that has to do almost-nothing. But whatever floats your boat I guess. Feel free to continue boasting about your superiority while you cower 30 meters away from the rest of your group until they forget you're even there.
> Fewer mystics can clear SCEM compared to priests.
> ???
Healing was never hard for either class.
It's just funny that many players can't handle healing extreme modes (SCEM) and at sametime consider themselves experts. Priest is still the prefered healer for PvP (3v3's) and Extreme modes. Faceroll content doesn't count. Mystic lockon bug will be fixed, BHS already said it was never intended. I really don't understand these priests vs mystics arguments, I just assumed everyone has leveled up all classes by now and play whatever they want for fun.
Why doesn't it count? 90% of the content in the game is faceroll
ur right about SCEM but that dungeon was around for 2 weeks and das it
I'm pretty sure the glitch is on the priest side, but I could be wrong.
The new mystic "changes" happened in the last week or so, and SCEM was over a month ago. I can't see many people disagreeing that the lockon bugs make mystic pretty braindead, as some people have already expressed in this thread.
Also, as it's often said, even before this change, you need non-[filtered] dps, at least specifically for SCEM. Can't have people eating healing reduction debuff on Perimos, but Kaias makes that ez. Need someone to take furthest secondary rake for mystic, as it's chancey to burn your jaunt there. Priest can just fiery escape one secondary, and have backstep for the other.
(I'm agreeing with quoted, but expanding on the extreme stuff.)
Perimos' heal reduction. Yeah good luck, DPS can eat the reduction, but better pray the mystic is ping carried and can spam fast.
Ironic, isn't it? How these changes to mystic actually started churning out worse mystics than before. I did VHNM on my priest and when I'd get paired up with a mystic they rarely helped with cleansing or healing. There'd be times where I'd cleanse a mass stun like the kind you'd see at the first boss, but an archer or a gunner would be too far away to receive it. Rather than use their 30 meter autolocking cleanse to help, these neo-mystics just stand there doing nothing, and I'll often have enough time to run over to the stunned person and cleanse a second time before they think to target someone once. Meanwhile at places like bathysmal rise, we'll get the turtle debuff and they just toss motes at us. It's quite unbelievable.
Bad healers have always been bad. Nothing to do with the changes. They just bad.
And now you see why I spend so much time of my life calling people stupid when they start talking about what an amazing thing motes are for the party and complaining that dps don't pick them up.
And while there's something to be said for making things easier and more convenient, it only stretches so far. Braindead easy heals means that you get healers who use the assist(/glitch?) as a crutch, and never develop the twitch reflexes to play well. As well as what's been mentioned about them idling 30m away from the boss. On the other side of the coin, it makes carrying idiots easier as well... so you get DPS who never really get punished for eating every single hit to their face, and thus just assuming that's how the game is meant to be played.
...And I saw a tank a few days ago who literally I think had never played the class before that VHNM run, blocking when the boss was facing the opposite direction, standing there and eating every single attack and stun... and it was scary how easily they could be kept alive if me and the other healer were simply paying attention.
Easier is not always a good thing. It's good for a starting point, but it has to transition to more difficult (or at least less-easy) at some point. Or else you may as well just be letting the game play itself.
