They can all be solo'd even if you're under-leveled, if you're new to the game, it's okay since you're on the learning process.

Additional info to add which might help others help you better:
    1. Your class and Level
    2. Your gearing + crystals
    3. Avatar Weapon's Level

That quest is Level 22 quest if I remember. You need Isren Avatar Weapon (Lv 20) or Elinu (Lv 27) to kill it faster.

The armor you get from questing should be enough but if it isn't it's most likely your crystals. You must have Fine Hardy _____ Crystals for Armor (blue colored ones, but read the name and their effects) to reduce damage received.

Your Weapon crystals are Red colored ones, If you're DPS, You should have Fine Pounding and Fine Bitter from questing, use them and make sure you're hitting them from behind. You will also need Savage and Focused. Carving is optional replacement for Pounding, which you will learn more about if you read some guides out there. You must learn to dodge attacks-- think of it as like no damage runs. (If you are Berserker or Warrior with Defensive Stance on, you need to also learn to block attacks.)

If you're Tank, you need to learn to block properly and efficiently counter attack. Just use Fine Pounding if you have them for start. You will need Wrathful and Focused later on.

If you're Healer, you're better off finding another person or queue up in dungeon for leveling. Healer crystals are Fine Brilliant crystals and Fine Swift Crystal for starters. Healers are support type classes, but they should have been buffed recently so they should be capable of soloing them regardless. You also need to learn to dodge attacks like DPS.

More detail will narrow down all these to better explanation + few tips regarding the class.
  • Ok, here we go and thanks.

    1. Archer at Lvl 23
    2. All the gear I have is stuff I've gotten from questing but I have no idea what you mean by crystals
    3. Lvl 73

Where do I get Fine Hardy Crystals and how do apply then? I'm not sure I'm grasping everything there but I think I'm getting some of it.

    1. I'm not an Archer main, but I remember using Penetrating Arrow, Radiant Arrow, and Rapid Fire a lot while leveling up at early stages.

As level 23 Archer, I would suggest using the following Glyphs:

    Penetrating Arrow
Glyph of Power - Increases skill damage by 25%.
Glyph of the Slick - Eliminates slowed movement restriction.

    Breakaway Bolt
Glyph of Powerlink[Lv20] - Increases damage of Penetrating Arrow by 25% for a few seconds.

Close Quarters stuns target on second hit, so take that as advantage to Breakaway Bolt so that you will go through the target, then charge up Penetrating arrow and shoot the target's back before the stun wears off or before it moves.

Also, remember to use Backstep to iframe/avoid attacks. Learning the timing on these iframes are one major key to playing this game. However, note that Breakaway bolt is not an iframe despite looking kinda similar in animation but it will help you quickly retreat from an incoming attack.

    2. It is fine if you don't understand it yet. All you need is some guidance. It should be fine if you have gears obtained from questing, enchanting isn't necessary but recommended if you are having hard time. You should be able to obtain crystals if you complete vanguard quest as reward (default key: H).

    3. That would be weapon's item level, but i should have made myself clear. I was really asking which Avatar Weapon you are using.
Seren's Weapon is called Whisker Bow, which should still work against level 22 Monsters.
Isren's Weapon is called Enchanted Curve, which is the one you'd want right now.

If you have different weapon, then try killing easier monsters around so that you can create the avatar weapon.

    1. I just realized how to activate glyphs. So I went ahead and turned those on now. I've been playing up to this point without them.

    2. I'll remember the enchanting in case I ever have to do that and I went ahead and got a handful of crystals and having a much easier time now.

    3. I have an uncommon bow I got somehow which is a Ranger's Longbow of Valor. Did I get it right this time? Although, how would I create a weapon too? I'm not sure how to do that.

All that ended up helping, I'll absorb everything you said here along with how to play my class properly as I realize I'm doing it poorly. If I need more help on understanding crystals I'll check the game's site first before coming back here.

Oh, and one more thing I can seem to drag my mount to a hotkey. It won't stay on the key I try and bind it to.

    Thanks!

Cool. I'd suggest looking up some guides such as the links below.

    Beginner FAQ's

    EssentialMana's Beginner Guide

Chunt's PvE Archer Guide (this one for when you reach lv 65)

I'm sure there are other archer guides out there but I just linked a few that I can find quickly. If anyone else knows some good guides, they will link/post or help you out.

Few things I should probably mention though.,

I recommended Bitter Crystal, but as Ranged DPS, they use Spiteful Crystal instead of Bitter on weapon, However, i wrote down bitter because it is more accessible since you get it as reward. If you do find a Spiteful Crystal, use it instead of Bitter. Please do read descriptions though. If Spiteful is weaker, it's better to try your best to back crit with Bitter.

That bow sounds like you got it from quest. You will want Whisker Bow (lv 12 avatar weapon) or Enchanted Curve (lv 20 avatar weapon). There will be another called Stun Rise (Lv 26 or 27 avatar weapon, cant remember exactly).

To create these weapons, you might have seen some glowing items drop. If you open inventory (default key: I ) you will see a side tab next to inventory showing a weapon. that is the Avatar weapon. You need to collect the relic pieces (which are the glowing item you picked up) to cerain amount shown to create them. Then you do, try to enchant it to +9.

Sometimes putting stuff on hotbar can be frustrating. You have to point it near the edge (you can tell when the box glow when you try to drag something on to it).

  • One last thing about the shortcut thing! I actually had my hotbar locked. There are 3 buttons in the hotbar area next to the Function Keys if you had my problem there's the solution!

    Thanks again Idi0ticGenius!

For any future people who find this thread--the imps are small mobs who spawn when you find the correct Obelisks and hit "F".

The obelisks are called "Sparking Bentyliths" and look like rock platforms with large and tall rocks floating a short distance above them. They are in around the pacing kumas' of Celestial Hills, closer to Godric's Farm and points south.

thank you for the explanation I could not think of the obelisks names. Good job
