Seems kinda shady. I doubt we will get any honest answers from EME tho.

Hope these values of conversion are not real, for obvious reason lmao

Interestingly enough, the player council was not given any information about this upcoming patch. We're usually brought on board a day or so before the patch is released and even then it's usually very vague.

The rumor I've heard is that EME trusted a group of players to help put together the guides and patch notes. This lead to people who had not signed an NDA, be vetted by eme in anyway, get sensitive information. They may or may not have shared it with a friend or two. Word got out.

Tried to keep it vague so there's not call outs.
I apologize for my hasty assumption, it just seems awfully suspicious that a certain gold hoarder, who also happens to be on the PC, suddenly wanted to dump all the enchanting stockpile he had.

What can be happening is they are asuming that NA Tera is going to have changes acordingly on how much mats are in players hands already.

They maybe are making a risky move trying to anticipate an unknown outcome, that is something smart people do many times.

That could have nothing to do with them knowing or not knowing before hand about that ingo.

StarSprite basically told you they did give information to certain players. Your optimism is beyond belief.

He did say a "rumor", your way of twisting words from others are beyond belief.

Now think about it. They confirmed they are changing the rates. Why would they change them? because NA economy is very different form other versions. In what way? We have an excess of certain items. Keeping the Ktera rates would mean massive amounts of new tokens being available on day 1. They would mos definitely want to fix that. The NA economy has been in the gutter for a long time and this is their chance to even it out. So, odds are, they will reduce the tokens from items that are scarce in other versions and plentiful in ours. Or maybe you are right and when they said they'll change the rates, they meant the VM mats and totally plan on people starting the new patch with hundreds of millions of tokens.

    SES : 26 or 28 tokens
    MES : 1 token
    BES : 3 tokens
CES ( common Enigmatic scroll from merchant) : 1 token

We will see in 2 days. Even if this ratio is true, EME might change it slightly and says "A rumor is just a rumor"

However, no matter what is done about this, there will be always people that will be affected by the desicion and others that will benefit the most. That is something unavoidable.

It sounds like you are fainting the issue. The real issue is "EME staff(s) have leaked some sensitive info to some players before it is officially released" which should not happen.

EME should've consulted with the player council. That's their purpose. Not to random people lol. Welp mistake was made, hopefully lesson learned.

As for hoarders upset that they bought out Semis cause they thought the token rate would be the same as KTera's. That's pretty stupid. Semis were already dirty cheap in NA, why would the exchange rate stay the same to KTera's? Not sympathetic.

    Proof?

I had even made a post about the posibility of some players getting info ahead of time before everyone else, that was several months ago, but I only make that post like an assumption, you people are claiming something as truth without providing "real" support of it, just mere assumptioms.
  • Well that's a nice nail in the coffin for the already clinically dead NA Tera.
  • conversion rates are fine I just thought the dumbest thing was to put common enigma scrolls to be one token, something you can buy straight from the merchant.

some of those conversion rates are wrong I'm not sure where you're getting your source from but doesn't seem like a valid source

I am not saying EME already leaked info. My short sentence couldn't imply what I exactly meant. My point is same as yours. It is still a rumor and an assumption.

We will see the FACT in 2 days and will be able to judge. However, what I quote was...it sounds like you wanted to say "leak doesn't matter". This is what I was going to say.

If only enchanting mats are affected I don't see it as something bad but something good instead.

There should be a point in the past were EME needed to stop that enourmous influx on mats for players to complain to the most casual users in the game, killing every aspect about working for BiS in PvE.

Is to a certain degree insulting for some players how EME gave on a silver spoon things that shouldnt be gave with that easy. Leaving the Mid tier and Hight tier content of the game almost useless for that very people and making lose profits for the people who actually ran HM dungeons in order to gear or sell gear.

If this is to make Top tier gear harder to obtain for the masses then so be it, I think is a good change. If the rumor about EME giving info about those trade rates to other players before everyone else is really true then that's really lame but nothing that we can prove already. We had to wait until the patch is applied and look at the conjetures made and came to realize if it really exist this kind of favoritism.
