So now that the damage has been done (by our own hands or not or partly), dear devs, u guys owe us the community a big deal announcing 800 is now equal to 28 (by your blatantly insensitive law of "total number of mats ingame" while knowing and watching so many of us pump in so much on clearly what is the wrong stuff for months without a FAIR DECENT WARNING TO THE DEGREE THAT IT BECOMES COMMON KNOWLEDGE instead of KTera's info) with just a week to react, plus that select few having a huge advantage of an early warning everyone should have been equally given. You want us to spend more on Tera? You want us to spend more of our time and effort on Tera? Do something about that 800 = 28. Because... for how all this have come to be... you owe us.

Fix the conversion of Premium/ Extensive / Common Enigmatic scrolls.
That will make it more balanced imho

I would delete common enigmatic from the conversion token shop.

Thats, Generally what I meant by Fix. I highly doubt things are gonna change now.

This only [filtered] ppl that tried to prepare for patch, ppl who actually try to think in advance. I just spoke with someone who had 15 mil invested in SES, and i dont think those ppl should be "lol get rekt [filtered]" when they loose more than 50% of their investment. Im glad i only bought 1k SES tbh, bc i can afford loosing the money, but i dont feel that preparing for a patch should be punished like this.

You are not being punished for preparing for the patch, you are being punished for preparing the wrong way. You bet on the losing horse, that's all there is to the new rates. The real issue IS that they gave that kind of information before the servers went down for maint, @counterpoint is absolutely right about that. The outcome of the race should not have been made public until all bets were placed. As things stand, some people were told which horse won and were then allowed to change their ticket. THAT is the issue here.

Whether it's actual money spent or that players farmed hard for valuable mats in anticipation of the change, it is the player's time, efforts and resource that went into the game. KTera's conversion rate was all the info anyone could use and that was months ago, so who in the right mind wouldn't act on that information and make plans storing up valuable mats and dumping others to prepare for the revamp?

And now with the release of the actual conversion rates just one week prior to the revamp, this isn't just a slap in the face of numerous players who have invested so much in the game. It's a blatant attempt to punch you right in the face so you'd break a nose and maybe shatter a jaw. Given such short time for players to act, all this reeks of a (deliberate?) attempt to devalue most of the mats players have in their possession and reduce the amount of gold floating in the economy. Whether this is in fact true is besides the point. Bottom line is... they've outright insulted all our hard work.

There's a much wiser and more empathetic way to introduce changes that could make players feel just a wee bit put off at least, as opposed to the seething fury and sh|tstorm that's getting stirred up right now. No... not even say, devaluing SES by half of the value everyone would expect it to be. No moderation and no appreciation or understanding of the efforts so many players have put in these months just for the change, only that it's done "BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF MATERIAL IN THE CURRENT ECONOMY" and so conveniently that everyone who worked for it would practically lose much if not most of what they have unless they do something about it within the space of one short week!

If you guys wanna manipulate things this way, then thank you for sending a very clear message to many of us... "I can't trust if my irl money can do anything of worth to me if I spend it on this game". Not even a slight hint of effort at moderation... "800 tokens is now 28 tokens by some immutable justification, so just swallow it bxxxx! And please spend more on Tera." So say the blokes that have just spat in your face and belittled what you've invested or done for the game.

I can't agree with you more.

This conversion rate is just disgusting. Comming from a player from CBT who did "hoard" mats based off of Ktera listings. You're really [filtered] me over EME.

If you think your conversion is anywhere close to where it should be you clearly are out of place with your game, your playerbase and just... what in the [filtered] were you thinking?

Do you REALLY want to lose whatever playbase you have left over this [filtered]? FIX YOUR CONVERSION RATES.

People like me spent MILLIONS in preparation for this. If it is not adjusted, and adjusted well.. you're gonna be [filtered].

You gambled. You lost. We've known for weeks the rates would be different from Korea's. Should've listened to some people's advice and hoarded gold instead of mats.

This isn't gambling. We knew WAY ahead the ktera conversion rates.

Sure, we knew they would be adjusted. Possibly by half, some things more.

What we have for NA TERA's conversion rates ISNT something that was decided on our economy. This was just [filtered] pulled out of their [filtered] and anyone with half a brain can see that. Or are you not reading the multiple threads and posts here?

Most games appreciate their old, loyal, money spending customers. All EME does is [filtered] us over again and again and wonder why everyone is dropping this game.

They never claimed it was decided based on the economy. They said it was decided based on the amount of items that exist in the game. There are multiple people sitting on hundreds of thousands of SES that do not impact the economy as those players have effectively taken them out of it until patch day. If kamizuma had decided to buy out all the SES from broker and set a new minimum price of 100k, would you expect them to up the rate because "muh broker"?

It's called speculation and it's a real thing in real markets. You speculated wrong, now accept your punishment (caused by your own speculation). You did *NOT* know the official conversion rates for NA, so you were speculating.

In fact, asking for reimbursement for being wrong following non-official information is hilarious to begin with.

Those who invested heavily in the mats are sour. Those who have not are starting to speak up about how they are right. Speculating it wrong is one thing. But when it's being done at a massive level, burning many players who have poured in their blood, sweat and tears farming all those perceived valuable mats, even to the extent of spending unnatural amounts of real money on EMP just for it, be it a right move or not, and eventually getting burned for it right now, all in plain sight of the devs who can see clearly what's happening all this time but gave hardly enough of a warning that would have stopped most from carrying it on... that's something else. Nothing wrong in profit-making of course if you're running a business, but you might wanna take good care of your loyal customers who are perceiving value in the products they're buying from you, and not fail them by devaluing the worth of those products and giving them barely the time to react. It's business su|c|de, though it may not happen immediately, but everyone will get burned because of this, directly or indirectly. If you've put in way too much and become disillusioned because of this and then decide to stop playing this game for good, cumulatively your absence will have an impact on the economy. Many of these investors are 'anchors' in the game - either they pay tons of real money for EMP, or spend huge amounts of gold in game to buy stuff creating a demand for various virtual goods in-game. If any of these people are to change their usual in-game business behaviour, even those who have not invested will feel an impact over time. And all this because you have not done your job to take care of your valued customers. If you're gonna be smart about it, you'd want to do all you can to secure your anchors. Else, it's just hastening the death of the game.
  • So what is the down low? I see a lot of those items that are being converted you can buy with IoD tokens. If the conversion rates stay as is, what are the best items to spend IoD tokens on? And will the MWA box still be available for purchase after patch?

Some players bought tons of stuff, and some even used EMP, so wasting real money because of [filtered] management is stupid, eme could have said "dont focus on patch notes we are gonna change the rate", but they wanted to show day 1 LOL

Anyways EME/BHS should learn with ArcSys what is player feedback and balance.
  • Nono, the issue is not that the conversion rate is so bad and that people lost a lot betting on the wrong consumables.
Everyone would be sitting in the same boat and lose or not their gold. The issue is that EME gave that information to players, who shared it between friends etc, which gave them huge advantage in making gold this way. U could have made millions this way. And EME being harsh with proxy exploits and in the same time making the same stupid decision.
