Why? Anything they should nerf it even more.

You people need to chill, you didn't work hard for your mats you just did a lotta events.

Actually, some of us did work hard for them, thank you very much.

a few doesn't come for everyone, Argon event alone gave tons of feedstock and spellbind and those two alone give tons of tokens. Please stop asking for easy things before even patch started.

I'm not asking for easy things, I'm only asking for what I worked for to be worth it. And for your information, I haven't been able to participate in any event since the summer festival due to work, so I haven't gotten anything from the Argon event. I get that some players got tons of stuff from all those events, but really, is it OK for EME to hand out that much stuff only to turn around and say "there's too much stuff in the game"?

Actually there is a lot of people - me and my sister included- that have a life outside TERA and can't play everyday and not many hours the day they can play.
Believe or not i barely have any mats on my bank, this rate conversion is a total disgrace for me. At this state of things i can quit already.
    You assume too much.

Next gearing is easy, you don't have mats, you can start from scratch, like before.

This conversion is planned to effect majority, because majority that played not even much, are sitting on tons of mats. Like all the changes of coarse it is gonna effect some players negatively but those that are complaining here are not the ones without mats they are the one with tons of mats and like many times that happened before their game of asking for more and crying that they leave the game starts so they don't bother with playing the game.

If anything EME should stop caring about these kind of posts and threads. If you are not playing much and haven't played much then Mid-tier and low-tier is what you are going to have and what you deserve to have.

Please read this and maybe you'll understand why people are upset (AKA why peoples' items are being given unfair value after patch):

You can purchase CES (Common Enigmatic Scroll) from the in-game merchant for 5g 35s each.
The conversion table shows us that CES convert to exactly 1 token.
The conversion table also shows us that Premium Alkahest (16g each on broker) converts to exactly 1 token.
This means that if you have Premium Alkahest after patch, it is worth the EXACT same as CES, which means its price is now 5g 35s each, instead of 16g each.

Now, everything is priced its weight in tokens. Semis are priced at 150g because they are 28 tokens each, and 28 *5.35 = 149.8g.

    Hope this makes sense.

The players that had the information first were able to sell all of their materials for the old market prices (ex: semis for 200g) and now that we know 1 token = 5 gold (CES price) we know that semis are only worth 150g. Every price has become fixed based on the CES rate, so any item worth 1 token in the store is automatically worth 5g 35s in the game, including items that were previously worth double, if not more, aka premium alkahest.

Premium alkahest was around 16g each, and now its true value is only 5g. If you don't need the alkahest currently, you need to sell it now. If you can't sell it before patch for over 5g, you've now lost 66% of its value because of these conversion rates.

  • It is a shame that you cant get a army of alts to top tier on day 1 if you saved a pile of mats. But anybody with common sense wont go all in on a gamble like that and blow millions of gold on a assumption with no official facts its like Poker you have 2 Ace at the beginning of the game so you go all in then lose to four 2's well a smart person would fold and wait to see what happens :3:3:3:3:3

Even if you had all the tokens in the world you wouldn't be able to gear to Top +9 right away, since tokens don't give everything. You'd still need to work for it.

why should it worth more when people won't need it to enchant new gear anyway, just convert them to tokens on day one those who have have guile will be getting misery gear I think and I'm sure they would get mats to enchant to +12 I'm am a person who has guile I would take my time gear up why hurry. With this new patch, lfg's should be loaded why cause you need XP for gear look at that thing should be lively in tera after this patch no more afking, time put some work in if you want the best new gear.

I have a feeling all BHS did was look at the amount of materials in NA and say what the [filtered] why are there so many and put 1 for most things because they can't put 0 so they gotta put at least 1. This is why mwa/premium/ext all are 1 despite them clearly being valued differently due to their inherently different properties. It's sad that it really seems like they took the lazy way out and didn't bother to take some time to understand NA's economy nor care about EME's input (if eme even has any). It's also funny that one of the main reasons we even have so many of these materials is because of event after event raining materials like no tomorrow. Once again events [filtered] over everyone that didn't participate because those that did participate have some more materials to exchange for tokens while those that didn't participate now truly see how their stuff is devalued by the actions of others.

Lol...hmmm.. i guess you are one of the people who didnt get anything from the event. We most of us here sacrifice for that especially here in SEA due to time diff. We woke up 1am just to join on the event thats why this things are not freebies we effort and sacrifice to have mats...

    #jealous is painful.

The exact price changes based on server, and prices always fluctuate.
    1ccbc81c05d1f151e9d73a5a6793c7ce.png
These were the prices yesterday (right after the rates were announced)
    6d7e47e7b14020d5a83a1d5773e42dca.png
These are the prices today, now that the value of Premium has gone down solely because it's not worth its weight in tokens.

    For comparison, MES yesterday:
    d11b528dfc2ad895900849e9fe597fb8.png

    And MES today:
    c75bdb78e93d94cd0aaa4d2978b37d7a.png

MES has gone down ~2 gold whereas Premium has gone down ~4 gold. The conversion rate is 1 token = 5.35g. MES are worth 2 tokens, so their minimum price would be 10.7g. Premium Alkahest's minimum price would be 5.35g, because it's only worth 1 token.

Looking at these prices on broker though, they look very similar. With about 2-4g difference in the items, yet one item is worth TWICE as many tokens as the other? This means that if you can't sell your MES before patch for over 10.7g, no worries, because it'll convert directly into 10.7g worth of tokens (2 tokens), and since the price on market is only about 14g, you only lose about 3g each MES.

If you can't sell your Premium Alkahest before patch? You're out of luck, because after patch it'll only convert into 5.35g worth of tokens (1 token), which means that even though the market price is 12g, you're losing close to 7g each Premium Alkahest. Solely based on conversion rates.

(If you're wondering where you get the 1 token = 5.35g conversion rate from, 1 Common Enigmatic Scroll (5.35g from Merchant) converts into 1 token with the new system, so it has become the baseline for converting and setting prices on every item now.)

I miss most of the events and I am not crying, instead I took my time to read the post from some users over these past weeks and made my desicion of what to save, discard or sell.

From sometime ago we have seen that cash shop items have been the better way for the smart people to make some profit, mean while the really lazy people hoarded tons of free mats that was given out on past events.

Actually, if you spent a little time thinking about the past 6 months and looking at ktera, the smart thing was to invest in materials to protect your assets. If you have no idea what I'm talking about then it just means you didn't make the realization that others did. Luckily for you (and others that were unable to connect the dots), bhs defied all expectations and things played out disadvantageously for those that actually made the optimal move (investing in materials). I would actually argue that cash shop items are for the lazy people to make some profit while the really clever people find not so obvious ways to make even more profit. Seriously, who is still relying on emp flipping to make gold in 2k17 lol what a joke.

is this a joke? lol then what do you deserve who only runs cw etc and no end game dungeons? then dont you yourself only deserve low tier right? fyi you dont seem to understand some people were made privy to this information before it was made public and they used it to mess up the market and trading for others. people from the guy who got the info to make the guide guild literally bought almost all the feed off the broker while dumping semis for cheap, they didnt even bother to negotiate as they still in terms of tokens and gold made a huge profit from buying feed and selling semis while the rest of the population was unaware of the adjusted rates. that is the issue here and why people are asking for an adjusted exchange rate.
