What GeForce display driver version are you running?

I'm currently having this issue in returning to Tera.

When I have my display driver set to gtx it loads up to a white screen and doesn't work. When I switch it to integrated it gets to the login screen instantly and I can log in, but I can't play on 2 fps.

I filed a support ticket and they told me it was a connection issue based off the diag. It isn't. They told me to go to a computer specialist.

And since you can't put things like this in the bug section from what I looked at in the usual "Read this before you post" and I already made a ticket, to no avail, I'm now here.

What GeForce display driver version are you using if any that currently runs Tera without the white screen of death.

I'm currently running 375.70 on GTX 1060. Windows 10 64 bit

Thanks.

I'm using the most recent geforce driver on a 1080, but even an old version should be fine on tera - try doing a clean install (check the clean install box..) of an updated nvidia driver to make sure it's not an old corrupt driver (nvidia driver, at least) causing the problem first, though i remember having this problem with another game and the solution was to set the game to the correct resolution and full screen using the integrated card before closing the game and switching to the dedicated one.

EDIT: this is also a possibility http://support.enmasse.com/tera/dedicated-graphics-card-not-recognized-for-tera
  • The amount of bull [filtered] I've gone through just for it to have to be windowed so it starts up. I've made some progress. Thanks to you. Now I just need to figure out how to get this thing full screen without freezing and needing to be force shut downed.

Once again, TERA - where the beefier your setup is, the worse the game plays.

    Now with more hair-pulling!

You can probably set it to borderless instead of just windowed or full screen and it might work, if windowed mode is. It shouldn't really hurt performance if you only have one dedicated card anyway.
Edit: I would also suggest updating the drivers for your integrated card as well as the dedicated one, it may solve the issue.

I actually would suggest against updating nvidia drivers and use the earliest one that supports the OS.

The reason is because Tera is backdated. Most of the graphical calculations we use in gpus today aren't even used in Tera. Coupled with high demand for single thread performance. It makes more sense to use the earliest one that works because some patches actually lower the fps of tera.

Every time I think of upgrading the graphics card, this type of thing pops up. And then I think again, and realize it's cheaper to stay as is.
