How about a dungeon like this?
Here's is what is happening currently. This is a ensample of the currently what if mechanics we have.
Is the sky blue or is it red? Is the moon rotating left or right? Do I have to rely on a 3th party voice app to tell me or something equivalent like a healer call outs?
What did he say again o.o? which of the movement patterns do what again?
The person with a bad short term memory asks these questions all the time repeating in there head that or nerf it in there head and act like a noob. Keep in mind its phrase that way in the ensample to allow you to think. its not what is happening in game just something similar I found funny.
Why not have a dungeon that tells you the mechanics or make a secret code that allows you to see if its true or false or red or blue while mechanic is happening or at any time like on a bar (NOT looking away from the boss) found on on screen in manglemire that tells you if its true on not. Or the room changes color. Next patch is fixing this thank god. Tera just Over did it this patch with memory games. I get it if you like those mechanics then you should be allow to disable the "BAR" that helps you to tell. It shouldn't be a force thing. For me SSHM Before patch (Nerf) was a great ensample of easy to learn mechanic but hard to master. All the mechanic relied on reaction no memory but curse but that was onscreen at all times allowing you to easily remember 2 anything over 4 is hard for a human to keep as a "Instinct" in there short term memory. NOT even MCHM had memory mechanic only rotations and many people consider it as the (BEST/Hardiest) dungeon in tera.
All we need to have is easy to learn and hard to master dungeon. Currently I have no clue what the tera community wants (Due to connections being lost).
Oh I have a awesome idea. How about nerf the dungeon when it comes out. then make it harder and harder as time passes? so its possible to make a lfg were everyone can clear it and it wont get boring.
Tera is a grinding game. That's how it started and was for 4 years. Grinding in mmo terms means Being able to do content at a stable rate for rewards at your skill level.

What if we had a z axis that forces you to shoot a target which means you need a gunner because (Gunner elin) but its in water to get the target far enough to make the race trait important (To a remote Island) takes 12 secs to get to. Yea that's good what else.
Lets make a boss who That forces you to remember a number at the start of the dungeon and base on your name and race and time it is you have to get a number from 1-100 pixel perfect. that players will have to decode that will take number of weeks YEA That's good. Also they have to stand on a pixal that movement wont allow easily That's a great idea for 5star mode

HMM do we need basic hits....... yea lets just give him 2 combos then make the rest aoes that kill rest of the party that are secondary Aoes. lets make sure there no animation for it and make it 1 shot. PERFECT For a 4star dungeon yes! also lets add my 5star mechics in it too PEOPLE will have so much fun
Oh yea we cant forget the pattern lets make it 7 different combos mean different things also if People cant type a phrase and do a dance patterns wont reset and force them to wipe

Jim you do relize there is something helping most people o.o from what I heared its a thing that detect mechics and allows them to be brain less and pass my mechanics with ease and making these over heavy mechanic pointless. Shouldn't we do something about it? Maybe make easy mechanic and find a way to disable it? also find a way to encourage people with tons a new content O.O. even something simple as reuseing old dungeons with new Objectives would bring new life to tera. it also would be easy to code I can do it in a week end if you life ;D we can amp up Tera to a new level.

Stop the stupid "do the homework" dungeons.
And in this sense I agree wholeheartedly. I think it's completely stupid to literally have to study over and over the dungeon just to be able to run it without wiping over and over. For god's sake I have enough to study in university already and I'm way past the homework days, I don't want that creeping back into my games. And that's one big reason why I didn't bother learning many of the top dungeons.

And I could also go and say that they kinda can't find a middle ground between brains and reflexes. It's usually either "do the homework" or "react before it happens on the server or you wipe". Can't be that there isn't a middle ground to what you should do to not wipe, I mean it can't be a complete history test level of memory, nor simply a reaction speed test experiment.
That's partly why I like the mid tier dungeons way more. They do have a better balance in this regard, you can do it on higher ping and not wipe over and over, or if you fail you can get some cover up from the healer (or if you ARE the healer you can help people out).
I would find it extremely fun if they changed much of the mechanics from stupid "do the homework" to more logical stuff that you can actually think on the moment and find out how to solve. In this regard it kinda sounds like the coming dungeon Demon's Wheel might be that. I hope it IS that.
That's one of the things I liked in Timescape, it had a balance between memory mechanics and checking your surroundings to see if you're safe or toast and what you should do to fix it. Calling the rings is fun and turning them all right and such was cool as well. It didn't have a whole lot of mechanics and had it's wipe ones (-cough- 3 ball room-cough-), but not JUST memory over and over.
I'm sure there's people who enjoy this, and people who want to write an entire 231345497 pages long guide book about a dungeon and brag that they know all mechanics, but I simply will NOT do those types of dungeons because reasons I stated above, which sounds in line with OPs view.
Obviously many of you will reply me with "git gud", it's just the tradition, and since I've been away for quite a while I know I need to actually "git gud" again, but just no I'll not bother myself with a dungeon that requires more effort than my tests. That's not why I play a game. If I want to exercise my brains I can have logic tasks, puzzle games are fun after all. But no I'm not into remembering 20 patterns and re-doing them over and over.
having said that, i actually rly liked this patch. I didnt think there were that many memory mechanics this patch. its rly only dw Bandersnatch's in/out mechanic, which yes I can see why anyone would think is pretty stupid, and VSHM Lakan's "I mark you!", which gives you quite a long time to react and do whatever you have to do. even then, you only have to remember what's coming up next for like, one minute at most?
not much to remember for any other dungeons. you can just brainless faceroll through VSNM because 2 (or 3, havent done NM in ages) people can hug together when they need to spread and still live. As for DW Demoros' in/out mechanic, seriously, I'm pretty sure everyone just facetanks it and cleanses, and moves on.
I think there needs to be both "memory mechanics" and "reflex mechanics". Would be a pretty fun challenge.
To be honest a middle ground dungon would be nice and fun as hell. Tho something like that. Then bob would say Lets add mechic that makes it unfun. somehow. that's how tera is going atm.

I'm all in. Logic based mechanics could provide this, solving some timed puzzle or such in many different ways, or varying those through the runs.
