To be honest a middle ground dungon would be nice and fun as hell. Tho something like that. Then bob would say Lets add mechic that makes it unfun. somehow. that's how tera is going atm.

Middle ground would ruin it for both sides.

People would recruit more brains than gear if this was a thing

    Making top-end gearing meaningless.

PS: How do you know who has "brains" in LFG?

Tera is the first game where I actually didn't "do my homework" at the start and rely on wipes to understand where the moves come from. With a few friends, the fun part is learning when to get out and when to burn.

The latest dungeon (which is sadly going) Demon's Wheel is basically just that. Essential Mana's guide have mentioned that it is better NOT to read the guide first and actually play it, which is what players should be doing in the very first place. Guides should only be when you need help or being stuck at a part where you don't get, not as a walkthrough for you to brainlessly clear it.

I personally took 3 seperate runs to learn how bandersnatch does his odd and even mechanic under 50%. I am sure a significant portion of the endgame community actually spent hours practicing the harder dungeons (queue old school schm) instead of just relying on what KTera gives us in the form of guides.

Unfun mechs is not something that requires quick thinking and brainpower. (Tera honestly doesnt have true brainpower gameplay yet). Unfun mechs are oneshots that come out of absolutely nowhere with little warning meaning people with high ping will definitely not get out of them. Being killed by a mechanic or a start of a rotation that doesn't have any indicator (I don't mean the carpets, I mean boss actually giving a hint it is going to start the move) is the number one way to tilt your audience.

SSHM/NM is only tilt inducing for me because of server lag tbh.

Also to correct you, humans have a short term memory capacity of 5-9 items. And the memory work you do in the new dungeons doesn't exceed 5. If you have difficulty remembering 5 items at any given moment you probably want to do some brain workouts because it is a symptom that your brain isn't working at its true capacity.

I would like to see more often mechanics like TSHM Yana wich all members has to interact with, and not doing implies on boss buffs difficulting the fight. Hit kill mechs is so lame and made it for those who has low ping like Ktera players. Third phase of HH is nice too

It should be a forum rule that if you bump your own thread 5 times before anyone replies (or maybe even 2 times...) you get an automatic 3 day forum mute.

TERA dungeons are like defusing a bomb and having to guess if you cut the red wire or the blue wire.
