Hoping this isn't true...
I understand the whole... everything will be more expensive thing for this patch, but is it really over 150k for 2 recipes and another 150k for two more to craft what you need to upgrade your gear....

Here's hoping. I know a guy who was happy he finally earned 200k but it ain't sounding like much if a single design costs 107,000 from an NPC.
I think you at least have to see the way drops are rebalanced to really judge this fully. People who were struggling to make 100k before will be making more now under the new reward scheme. Is it enough? We'll see, but it will be higher. And if it's still not enough, I imagine there may be events and other incentives coming. I wouldn't judge the whole situation on cost alone based on the old economy until things settle.
But if this is to remain the standard for future patches, then there needs to be an adjustment to the crafting system then. It makes no sense to spend 13-15kk in mats to make a 10k diamond. That's silly.
There has to be some kind of marginal profit, or crafting will be lively for the first few weeks of the patch, and then be dead again as people just run easy dungeons on alts.
I doubt you can spend 13-15 million gold in order to make a single diamond. If you meant 13-15k, well, that's kind of the point. If you could craft a diamond and have a profit by selling it to the NPC, you could literally print gold.
No idea what's cheap or expensive now
