Item Level XP Earned

Does anyone know how the reward of Item Level XP works? I have done echoes of Arenea (sp?) twice and got the reward, but don't see how to apply it or if it applies automatically?

    It applies automatically to all gear pieces you are wearing. If you wave your mouse over a specific gear piece you will see how much exp you have for that item out of a maximum you can earn for it. Item XP is for enchanting your gear, you can find that at the bottom of the enchanting table. The higher the percentage, the more likely the item is to enchant to the next enchantment.

    got it I have on the Guardian...the armor, boots and weapon still have some points left for item level xp...got some xp for item level 20 I believe and none of it applied to any of the pieces, already have 100% enchanting chance and it show item level xp 0/0...am i doing something wrong?

    You can't get exp on Guardian because it already has 100% rate. It doesn't matter how many vanguards you complete. Once you upgrade your gear to Twistshard the exp will apply. It should be applying to you jewelry/belt/brooch though.
