Hey everybody, i was a TERA player in EU servers, this game was really successful among the other [filtered] MMORPGs. In 2013-2014, i believe, i played this game in PVP server with my friend and we enjoyed it A LOT. But suddenly we stopped playing it due to school and we started playing Dota 2, which needs shorter time for fun. We didn't returned for a decent amount of time. 1 - 1,5 years ago we tried to return but we saw cop car mounts, ridicilous event with Kumas babies, pimp-like popori's etc, we were already dislike the dominance of otaku culture, elins and silly Korean stuff in TERA, last time we checked it became even more ridicilous, no any new players, hard to find people to do dungeons, the game's economy is dead...

We heard NA version is better, we didn't played it due to high ping. But my friend is in America now, if he plays it i can consider playing it with 200 ping its not that big deal for me. What are you saying, is it worth playing for us? Would it be as fun as it was in 2013-2014?

    I'm playing with 150. Fine. All 4 star dungs doing as archer, getting in top of dmg every time. Btw you should check really how to fix ping as I'm even far from servers than you. Way more far!

    Well, if you really dislike lolis, fat popos, and eastern crazyness never download tera again, cause you'll instantly get sick and die in a few hours. Other than that the game is quite alive, not at its best, but yet you can easily find runs, especially if you play on the most populated servers, TR and MT.
    Regarding ping, don't worry about that, I'm from EU myself (160 ms) and I main lancer (which is supposed to be one of the classes that suffers the most from high latency), and I can run hard PvE content just fine, can't talk about PvP, cause I don't do it. Ofc you can't expect the be the best *insertclassnamehere* in your server, but if you take the time to learn your class you'll be able to clear any dungeons and do good damage (or healing, aggro, whatever).
    Wrapping up, I'd say give the game another shot, the combat system is great, and after all it's F2P and getting to max lvl takes 10/15 hours, so you don't have much to loose ;)

    I just started on NA from EU as as well, and I'd like to add another question to the mix. What would be the best server and, more importantly, guild to join as a european player? With the major timezone difference, I can imagine finding something active in mine will be hard.

    We have loads of threads about servers. Why not to read the post above your? Main information was there already said.

    CH - rp/e.r.p/cute elins.
    "best server" is a very subjective definition. For someone best is active in pvp, for another in pve, for rest RP.
    How one can tell you what is best for ypu??
    Each server has literally loads of guilds. You can only try them and find out.
