It is really crucial to have this both right now, the thing is, how do we craft all those outdated gear? can somebody help or make a guide about them? I'm stucked on the test because I cannot craft the skill 201-499 thingy.

    I'm not saying you need all 4 , but last time I looked all 4 assist each other to get to master so what you can no longer harvest to craft you can either buy in the respective materials merch of need to be crafted by another craft to get there

    I actually got etching and alchemy good, its just weapon and armor that almost looks like impossible to master right now @Halrath fix for outdated gear?

    THAT would be a BHS thing, I'm pretty sure.

    Your best bet would be to preview the designs at the merchant in the appropriate range of skill level, and pick one then shop the broker for the ingredients.

    Or if you are willing to do hard mode, pick one with no "pure" ingredients, find out where they spawn on the map, and harvest what you need yourself. Boring, but it works. Especially if you have a Felicity and a fast mount.

    Good news is it doesn't take all that long to gather a couple hundred of a material if you know where to look. I had to level an alchemist from scratch recently, and discovered the best gathering spots for making battle solutions. PM me if you want the locations for sun essence, lightning essence level stuff. I forget what the ores and fibers are for that level of node, sorry.

    Alternatively you could figure out how much you need, and post WTB in chat.

    There are some real packrats out there who might let go of some of their stash.

    something has to change here,
    - to progress crafting to artisan and master (taking test), you have to craft some useless armor/gear that is very costly in terms of material, makes no sense

    yeah cat, its easy to progress on etching and alchemy, so it wasn't a problem besides those cancer two xd
