Complementing this I even can tell you that is imposible for you to try to upgrade those accesories if you dont get those materials from those 2 dungeons. GG and PoP have chances to drop them also but after running more than 100 GG and more than 400 PoP and not getting even one of those from there I can tell you that jewellery is the real pain in the ... to get upgraded.

Also, limited time to play is another issue 5 hous cd scrolls wont let me do the dungeons again anyway, so I am stuck in 8 tries on my main and start to get convinced that I should get stormcry for my alts xD since is easier than getting the best accesories.

Since you had that amazing (read: hilariously wrong) math, let's do some math of our own:

    - The patch has been out for 7 days.
    - You've done 100 GG and 400 PoP
    - That's 14 GG per day (very easy to do,) and 57 PoP per day (lol wtf)

Assuming 3 minutes per PoP (loading times, using reset scrolls, switching characters, etc) That's at minimum 3 hours of PoP and an hour of GG each day. That is also a very generous estimation, assuming you do it non stop, with low ping, low loading time, for 4 hours.

How are you finding time to do the 8 RK8 and 8 TRH?

Methinks you embellish (read: lie, just like your "maths.")

Do you know what are free days or weekends?

Do you know that you can have up to 17 characters per server?

If you are bound to think what ever your little mind only allows you to think so be it.

    Wow. Mobile formatting sucks.

In any case, I agree. You're not exactly railroaded into using a single character as you have to realign some personal goals.

Give and take all that hoo-hah.

The bonus for full item xp is +15% for top tier, not +10%. So with full item xp you have a base chance of 25%, which may be increased by 1-3% depending on TERA Rewards status and increases by 3% with each failure. On my server diamonds are currently listed at 12k gold each and silver plates are 1k, so one attempt at upgrading a belt to stormcry costs 92k gold. That makes an average cost of less than 368k gold. Sure, it's possible to fail 10 times, but the odds of that happening are less than 1%. An earring is somewhat cheaper, each attempt at upgrading to an entropy earring is 50k gold so the average cost is less than 200k gold. People already sell silver talents for as little as 150 gold, so I expect to see a significant decline in the cost of silver plates. You can potentially avoid some of these costs by getting a marrow brooch from HH, and by using keylock/trap rings/necklace.

Thank you for the clarification, I thought the max % bonus chance you get was equal to the base % chance, however 80k exp points to reach that... well, is more like half patch for most people in the game.

About cost of those mats, yes I used prices I saw and didnt bother to look at the broker again, I didnt think they would suffer that much in this few days.

About talents, they are even less than 100 g but the ratio between upgrading frostmetal gear compared with the belt is ridiculous even that way. If prices drops from market on those materials the cost from both are lower but the ratio between them not, its stay the same.
  • Oh no you can't be in the best gear a week after the patch! Who would have devised such a tedious system!

Even when people says this system is better than the one before, I have to agree is better about enchanting gear, there is something really absurd in it and that is the cost to upgrade frostmetal belt and daylight accesories.

If we make comparison between gear and these is really absurd the diference in cost per try. Cost to enchant stormcry gear is 120k max per try and your gear exp bonus is fast to get compared to the accesories and belt. Cost for those are about 300k per try and to get 10% bonus from exp you need 80k exp points, also the mats needed tp upgrade them are rare and you could not get them even running RK9 or TRH.

You get 400 exp points per HM run, that means you need to do 200 runs to fill the exp bar and get the max % bonus, also if you consider that you will get 10% base + 10% extra that means you will have 20% chance of succes or in other words, 80% chance of failure, you will need 10 failures to reach an even field on succes and failure and you can still fail.

All this means that you could spend more than 3 million gold worth on mats to upgrade a simple belt, a simple ring, a simple earring, a simple necklace, a simple circlet and you can still fail on each of those.

If you make maths you can see this is about 21 million gold on these accesories to reach a 50% chance of success.

I want to know where does this make any sense when with all of that gold you can pretty much gear all your alts in stormcry letting the accesories to be just in frostmetal.

Farm gold from dailies, max out XP, master all professions, try to enchant/upgrade, rinse and repeat, profit! Ezpz! :3

the system might be suited for Korea but not for NA
-Vanguards need a gold boost (Boost for elite should be changed for Quest reward instead of gold drop)
-Enhanced XP for mid tier set and chance to crit on enchanting to double a number lets say you go from 0 you crit to +2
-Lower the IL requirements for Bams in IoD
-More ways to gain entropic tokens
    -PVP Hours
    -Latest Korean optimization files.

You realise the exp values are so high because Entropy and Stormcry Belt are the highest level that those items will go to at this moment, Empowered brooch also requires that same exp value to be upgraded to Quatrefoil and I believe that's the exp value for going from +8 to +9 Stormcry. Yes it looks absurd (and in the brooches case I would agree since this whole brooch system is stupid, removing cleansing and quickcarves >.>) but once you upgrade you're done, so that's why they suffer such a higher exp value for upgrading.

This not supposed to be done in first two weeks. This is supposed to be done at least month.
This isn't the belt, isn't the system, its just you.

That's what people said back during VM1 when they justified how difficult it was to obtain quills and vitriols. I also remember people saying the exact same thing when we got the first gold underwear. Guess what happened?

It would be better if I can farther upgrade to the Vergo Brooch

It is actually absurd not because its expensive.

It is horrendously more expensive to get BiS jewelry/brooches etc just because NA has degraded the mats in rarity just so to make it easier to BiS items. I would dare say that in Korea, getting the BiS jewelry might actually be easier since Semis were 20-ish times more expensive.
