Which healer?
I heard Mystic is a lot stronger and easier currently then priest. I am thinking of coming back and playing either a healer or tank. Not looking to play a dps where I have to maximize my dps by doing everything perfect so I am going with more of a role where I can enjoy the mechanics more.
So with that...is mystic currently top dog? I heard something about targeting is different for them due to a patch? Can anyone explain. Also how stress/micromanage is healing at endgame. Only played a tank to 50.
Lastly, any good mystic guides?
Thank you.

Mystic is useful for tryhard runs maximizing dps.
In the end, it doesn't matter. Try both, play what you prefer.
The base heal of a mystic is higher than that of a priest, but a priest has two high healing aoe circle skills that are very nice. Mystics high heal aoe skill is a line (not a circle) and isn't lockon but it's good when people are stationary or if you can aim well xD
Mystic cleanse is lock on vs a circle in front of them for the priest. I think technically they are the same / similar range, but mystics seems further to me. If you know a debuff is coming mystic is faster, otherwise priest is, but priest you have to face them. No ping targetting issues on priest though.
Mystic basic heal is definitely further than priest.
Mystic has vow which allows two players a free res. Low cd if you glyph it so by last boss you can have your entire team with a free res. It goes on the mystic as well, while the priest only has one for themselves, not others.
Priest you have to keep players buffed while mystic you just have to be near them for them to get buffs, plus mystic gives an additional crit factor buff, which is very beneficial for almost all classes. Priest is probably only more helpful for valk, or some who hit their crit cap.
The debuff mystics do on the boss lasts twice as long as priests and is the same; mystic also has an extra debuff every ~1:30min
Priest has two movement skills vs just 1 for mystic, but mystic's moves us farther and has a very short cd after glyphs/cd reduction (~4sec)
Only one of priest's movements skills is an iframe (backstep)
Priest self heal is just hit a button whereas mystic has to drop and pick up a mote. When glyphed, mystic's is a guaranteed 60k, 30 initial 30 over 3 seconds vs priest being lower than that non crit high with a crit.
Mana regen! only really necessary for sorcerers, or some warriors/lancers on their buffs. Priest's is easier and has a longer range in terms of just giving players mana and gives more, whereas mystic's requires attacking the boss (within ~6-7m) then regening, and gives less mana than the priest. However, either can easily care for almost all but the heaviest mana using sorcs, in which case mana motes easily allow mystic to keep up with anyone.
Speaking of motes - if you have extra time (prioritize heals over motes so your dps can prioritize dps) you can throw motes which heal 30k which isnt huge but it is also a free cleanse for the players if you cant get to em quickly / are distracted by a mechanic, which can be very helpful.
Yes -- as things stand, mystic has a lot of benefits over priest. A bigger lockon heal on a shorter CD, an easier time maintaining buffs and debuffs, an autores that affects half the party, a really forgiving lockon system that eliminates the need to aim, auras, and the ability to heal and cleanse from literally 30+ meters away. But priest is way more fun to play precisely because it isn't coddled and dumbed down like mystic is at the moment. With how rare healers are at the moment, especially GOOD healers, I'd say main whichever looks more fun to you. If you want to just kind of coast and take a passive role in your group's support, roll mystic. If you prefer a more active and hands on approach, go with priest.
Like others said, priest is receiving a cooldown reduction ability on its party buff skill as well, so just ... roll what seems coolest to you, dude. This is coming from someone who complained a LOT about priest getting shafted last patch, but is now enjoying the class so much more thanks to a tiny tweak they gave to kaia's shield, along with returning dungeons with knockdown mechanics that allow me to use my priest's kit much more fully especially in trap runs. It's quite enjoyable now and I'd actually honestly recommend it for that alone. But if you care about being objectively the best or about being desired for score runs, certainly roll mystic because it's technically in a better place at the moment.
