Instead of dropping the bam hammer on "breaking the spirit of the game" (an escuse so vague they could find a reason to ban almost everyone at some point) why not add a cool-down to a character where they can't get W-BAM drops for a few days to discourage over-farming of BAMs, since only a handful currently have increased respawn times and have drops... Seems more logical than banning.

They should definitely add some sort of mechanic to encourage team work to take down the world bosses. Like huge pools of HP that you CAN'T possibly solo, or what you just mentioned, some sort of restriction on how many you can kill a week.

But again, is BHS we are talking about, even if they decide to do something about it, we won't see it in game for months.

Also to everyone barking at eachother for their opinions, they are entitled to them, even if they don't match your own. You should have a more objective look on things instead of name calling 'cause you have beef with certain individuals.

Just discuss the issue, why you think is ok or not ok to get people ban over this and maybe give some suggestions. That's what the forums are for, not to settle personal arguments. K thx bye!

Don't forget that we are playing in EME's sandbox. Eme can set any kind of rule and regulation they want for their sandbox. As long as you play in their sandbox you are to follow their rules and regulations no matter how ridiculous they are. They also hold the right to ban, kick and delete any character and account they want from their sandbox as they see fit. Oh hell..they can ban your account just because your name sound funny and funny offends them.

    Rules of conduct:

6.Don’t harass, stalk, or purposely do things to make someone else feel uncomfortable.
    18. Trolling: You don’t want to be "that person."
    20. Game exploits: let us know about these instead of exploiting them. If you use TERA’s game mechanics in any way the GMs deem unsportsmanlike or that deviates from the spirit of the game, the GM staff will not only make frownie faces at you, but possibly pursue disciplinary action.
    28. Our employees will use their discretion to interpret if any action warrants moderation, whether it is mentioned here or not. We also have a magic genie that grants us the ability to make more rules, but we'd rather use those powers to make cool stuff for you.

People like TWMagimay needs to read a little about rules on the game before trolling non-stop on forums.

As the rules are even here I wonder when he is going to be banned for trolling every time he make a post.

An here is the link with the official info about these rules for those who would claim otherwise http://tera.enmasse.com/legal/rules-of-conduct

It's like a preschooler wrote those rules. Trying to be funny or silly. Cringey stuff

you are in preschooler forum, playing preschooler game , and you make acount for make, and replyes in preschooler post, but you dont like preschooler rulez............. is nice how people are preschooler.
  • In bird culture that would be considered a [filtered] move, but are we birds?
  • Meh, had it with the debate over this ill continue to hunt WB's the way I have been, I get a ban for playing the game and hurting somebodies feelings then so be it, not gonna scamper from loot because people threaten with complaining to a GM.

    Hold my beer.

Read this thru , right or wrong , you have some complaining against the ban coz all the did was hurt others feelings but complaing coz their feelings are hurt due to the ban , so if it's just no problem because it's only hurting feelings then why worry when reported as they are only hurting your feelings :p
Some seem to only enjoy playing when they know they are grieving others

I think half of you who think EME is in the wrong need to realize this; That's just what you think.

Legally, EME can do whatever they want, and you don't get a say in it.

That's the way the cookie crumbles.

However, if you're purposely being a [filtered], then yeah, you need a time out. Ez pz.

if someone is already attacking then LEAVE. if the BAM is at 100% then engage. thats the way i see it.
  • This is getting interesting. What if you found and hit the boss first then a guild/group showed up, then they have someone who likes to record video then decided to threaten and claim that it's their boss and ask you to leave because they will send a ticket if you don't leave? I'm just wondering if this will happen. Also wba time spawn is annoying so that's why people are greedy to kill the wboss.

If it happens, it'll be just like any other case where EME has to mediate a dispute and consider the evidence. If the evidence finds that someone was trying to frame someone else, then the person doing the framing is surely going to get an even-worse punishment. But if this person likes to record video so much, they often end up hoisted by their own petard anyway.

I'm sure the GMs already deal with dozens of fake/fabricated grievances every day from people trying to frame their "enemies" so this probably won't really be anything new. Assholes will always find a way.
  • Pretty sure this whole thread has been blown out of proportion... Please close thread EME, It was only a 3 day suspension from what I heard..? Like not sure but I believe this thread is longer than their suspension ROFL just shut up and play the game. Don't steal bam from others on a pve server just roll a pvp server and contest otherwise suck it up and go find the other WBam no one has gotten to yet

This needs to be closed, majority of the community which are not @sses are OK with this, and the rest which likes to be @sses are not OK with this. If you can't be nice, EME shouldn't be nice to you. Common courtesy.

they dont just go over evidence provided by players, they check chat and character logs as well, from what i have heard and someone reported another player and posted the report in a discord i am in and the person reported got banned without any pictures etc being provided but as the cs support person said they will look at chat and character logs to make a judgement. seems your evidence is only used to let them know it is worth being looked at maybe? but onto the topic, how would people feel if you are in a party but no one plays tank, and a brawler came up aggroed the boss at 5% reset it and then claimed it for themselves? there is no way a dps class or party without a tank can do a wbam if this is allowed to happen. yes its a fault on the company side but that does not mean you should do it, i've had bams attempted to be stolen from me like 4-5 times and all failed cuz i know better, tank it up against a wall or in a corner and dont waste your own shouts depending on the bam animations etc to bring it back to your spot. thing is some of you dont get the people who had bams stolen were willing to party and reset, but the people who stole it well lets say they had a few or many choice words said to the other player.

What evidence? You just said it's OK for them to ban based on their feelings about the situation and don't need no rules to do so. As long as the GM feels like you broke a rule, that's all they need to ban you. And that's the way you want it, right? That's what really perplexes me. Every game I've ever played had that rule, that GMs can ban you just because they feel like it, without a reason or a rule you broke. This is the first time I see the community stand behind such a ban. The last time I found myself in the middle of a situation like this, a large number of players broke an actual rule and risked very justified bans to get their point across.

    this discussion should be closed
Because I do not think they deserve to protest this
because you are the average protest player who has TOP TIER equipment

you know I have a friend who every hour checks WBAM and always get stole at least 3 times by top gear player

do you really think it's normal?
may be said to be normal but come on you have TOP TIER equipment
why do not you try to find another place or go to RK-9
I remember people who are acting extraordinarily before this patch is always insulting casual player when they try hard mode dungeon and now they are trying to find bams where their opponent is casual player and they do not accept that casual player get right to luck finding WBAM?
    then you stole it
without knowing how much time is spent exploring the map
potion that is used during battle
