Be specific! Some BAMS will give you a debuff which cant be cleanse and you have to wait it out. An example is foolishly stepping on a tuwangi bomb in KC and KDHM during the second boss fight. Oh and thats what the red mote is for. If I cant cleanse you on time, there is always one on your feet. If not, I ll just have to aim it right between your eyes. :P
  • like Uber said, there are some debuff that cant not be cleanse.. and healers usually know them, so they dont even try.... Sometimes we are too busy with something (healing someone who takes a LOT of dmg for example) that we miss one debuff or another... so ask for it ... And try to remember that not all healers are experts on what they are doing.. they are learning (on low lvl dungeons), so they need to handle a lot - debuff rotation, healing, mana, etc... Not sayin its an excuse, but sometimes u need to remind them of something.. So again, just ask for it... nicely... If the person wants to be a better healer, after you asking him once, he will try his best to cleanse u again before u need to ask...

    The Healing Hierarchy is:

    1) Don't Die
    2) Don't Let Others Die
    3) Cleanse and Buff
    4) Everything else.

I often do find myself stuck at 1) and 2) because people just facetank damage, leaving me unable to even do 3). Other times, I will have genuinely forgotten a mechanic and just need a gently nudge to Cleanse.
  • The hardest part sometimes is the distance between you and the other players in a boss fight. When tank is in the front and DPS in the back in a standard scenario, healing and maintaining the party's vitals is actually quite easy. It's when things get hairy and a player has a damage-over-time debuff on the other side of the stage and is running in the opposite direction. Meanwhile 3 other players got rekt and need healing immediately so I'd prioritize that first.

Best thing I could say as a Priest main is, if possible, come my direction if you need cleansing if I can't make it over to you first.

^ Last guy brought up a very good point. For priests, at least, our cleanse actually isn't that big of a range, and we can't target you with it. If you're across the room, you're not getting a cleanse, because I'm not chasing you unless there's actually a legitimate reason for you to be so far.

If people are facetanking (as in, like, can't spare a split second to move my finger to press C and cleanse - that requires either an extremely trap party or extremely hard content that we're just learning), I'll usually try to keep them alive first and work on cleansing later - Kaia's is there if I need a bit of a buffer, but if it's a DoT that takes like 1/4 of your health each tick, it's going to be a pretty damn big priority. Someone who's unfamiliar with the dungeon may not know how much damage it does, though. If you're with a mystic, pro tip: go for their big red [filtered].

Some debuffs may not be cleanseable, even if you can see your HP bar go purple.

If you're talking about AB second boss, however, there is a good reason why you're not being cleansed, and if you're facetanking despite being debuffed there, that's not the healer's fault.

That's what I miss about playing a priest, Divine Intervention, leash them to you then cleanse.

But now I can just throw my motes to them if they need a quick cleanse, or just simply use the cleanse skill LOL

  • Well my story is about...a healer who won't cleanse and immediate heal in DFNM last boss. Resulting us to perish one by one..slowly. Plus the healer loves to offend others.

You deal with them by not inviting them to your party.

No other way if they won't listen to tips.
  • Gotta love watching those people shouting "cleanse!" during the demokron invasion with Kelsaik.
  • What irks me the most is when someone shout Cleanse! as soon as they get debuffed and is across the room.
