Is Ninja is worth for DPS? or Not anymore coz of slow DPS...

I have a Ninja character, which is +8 frostmetal weapon, but my average DPS is like 850k to 950k per boss like LK and TR... then i compared to other char which is +0 frostmetal, dps like warrior or sorc, they got a better damage as mine.. i master the skill rotations, glyph, even crystals.

i follow this guide to help me, but still idk if still works in ninja slow dps.

  • They're considered low DPS, but take meta lists with a grain of salt. With full Frostmetal (weapon is +2, everything else +0), keen etchings and a mystic in the party, I can easily do 1mil or 2mil. Ninjas are very crit factor reliant, so if you haven't started stacking that, there's a likely source of the problem.

The guide is still worthwhile. Started maining ninja only about a month ago, followed that, and I've never been happier with a class pick. :)
  • maybe my ping fault, its about 220ms im play in Asia Q.Q
  • Ahhh, yes, that'll do it. Our auto attack is a core part of our rotation and it's extremely ping-reliant.
iirc though, the way to combat that is to actually press the hotkey rather than hold the button down.

Ninja are really weak unless you're geared and have good ping. They're great to play because they're the easiest class to master but their game style is really dependent on attacking NON-STOP unlike other classes because their 'trademark' is low cooldown skills. Other classes is building stacks or charging skills and doing hard hits with longer cooldown so they can afford to re-position and take time walking. Ninja need to be 100% reactive and have 90% time on bosss back (10% to avoid/do mechanics). I have +2 Stormcry weapon with x2 energetic etchings and frostmetal +0 armor with High-tier Accessories. I do about 1.5m-2m on average in RK9 and 2.4m--3.2m in TRNM with a random queued party. I have 60ping though. Their rotation is very easy to be honest, just 'keep clicking auto atk' while youre using your 3-combo rotation (Double cut->Decoy Jutsu->Double Cut if reset, Skyfall, Circle of Steel) and spam Burning Heart even when boss is not enraged once it hits FULL Chi.

Since you played ninja and you love how 'smooth' and 'easy' it is to re-position yourself. Remember the reason why they're like that is because it means u have to attack the boss until the split second u have to dodge each time using iframes/jagged path/and the most amazing positioning skill 'impact bomb'. If you want a strong class that's still easy to play and master, consider playing archers or berserkers if you want to melee.

Decoy is the best repositioning skill in the game.

i have ninja full frost (weapon+1) and t1 etching (keen acc + belt), my dps is still lower than brawler (+0 frost full)
w/ brawler i can clear 3 hightier vanguard in 20 mins lower, with ninja over 30 mins

    so definitely brawler > ninja

hoping for an update as i like using the ninja for the clone jitsu

IoD is not an accurate representation of a class's DPS.

my ninja can clear the 3 high-tier vanguards quests too in a total of 7-9mins with +2SC (which includes time killing them 10 times each and travelling to next location/teleporting), and yeah IoD has higher crit resistance and ninja has best backtime when soloing so unfair compare to other dps class (ignoring tanks)

  • Using combo attack between skills is a dps loss.

You should do jagged path > double cut > decoy > double cut > skyfall > Circle of steel > combo attack to reset CD and repeat. Jagged path powerlink will affect both double cuts this way.
You can use leaves on the wind if you have to move out of range for mechanics.

1k Cuts should be used as an I-frame only. I see ninjas all the time use this in their rotation lmao

With frostmetal Ninja can easily kill a high-tier BAM in less than 25s and about 15s with a keen mote, and you should also be using FA off cd. So excluding travel it shouldn't take you more than 12min on 30 bam with a Ninja. I just find it hard to believe that a brawler can kill bam 20 second faster than ninja...

Can't say for sure how fast ninja can kill high-tier bams, but brawler will always be the easiest and fastest imo. You don't have to dodge stuff or deal with bams (especially iron giants) suddenly trampling you, which causes dps loss. It takes my brawler in frostmetal+6 ~15s to kill 1 bam, and this is with only a nostrum. With keen motes, it's definitely way faster than that, sometimes even halving the time to 7-8s.

Leaves on the wind doesn't move you, you're probably thinking of impact bomb.

He's saying it's ranged so if you're not in melee range for mechanics, you can use lotw.
