What people really lack is understanding that you need DPS to finish this dungeon. No one kickes just from fun but because people come and xD-ing that they wipe 30 times on each boss. Rk is really an easy dungeon and no one wants to spend there two hours wiping when you can finish it in 20 mins.
People in frostmetal 0 +3 truly lack understanding that their dmg is very small. They meet number in itlvl but not skill and dmg.
I seen " learning runs" in lfg pretty often in the beginning. Those who want will reach their aim. And I strongly believe that IM for learning possible if
1 you're one with your class.
2 you know all tacs well and watched many vids
    3 you have good gear
Other way it looks like being carried by the group.
If you lucky to get patient people who will carry you. Fine then. Not then no complains because they do way more for killing boss that low geared member.

Btw I was few times in runs through IM where people were patient to each other. Untill last boss. When we wiped 3-4 times some members were kicked. And you know what? After that we killed from first time! This means that people can be just patient to someone untill some point bur may not count it good. And this means that people don't understand that they really can cause wipes by their wipes and dmg.

Don't want rookies in your party? Make a pre-made party beforehand instead of kicking whenever you feel tired and want more dps.
IIRC i wrote it at the start.

1 line in the entire post that can be understood both ways does not a case make. Considering all the gear complaining(which would be the reason for an instant kick, as I've said many times, nobody carries you for two bosses if they believe from the start that you can't do it), I took that to mean "generally tired" and not "tired of carrying me".
Do you ever read what i write or jump to key points?
"do you expect a rookie to play at the same level as an expert in a dungeon on your first try? Or you don't even wait to see if he can perform like that and insta-kick just because of gear?"
Read this part again, it's a question, not an affirmative.

Well, if that was an actual question and then a rhetoric one: "No, I don't wait. Your point?"
Shady reason: "Oh, a wipe, let's just check who got the lowest gear and kick"
If my dps was a problem, I would've been kicked in one of the last two bosses.

Believe it or not, you can do decently on some bosses and also suck on others. The first two bosses don't have a dps check so it's entirely possible they gave you a chance for last boss even though you did suck before that. Everything you are saying points to that party being exceptionally patient and non-elitist and you somehow find the gall to actually hold that against them.
The whole point is that people just throw the fault to whoever has the weakest gear, and now who performs the worse or who did the mistake that wiped the party. It's always like that and this time it was no exception, wipe wasn't dps fault, nor healer fault, still kicked the dps w/out stormcry gear thinking it would solves everything.

That's the one part I already agreed with. As I said, I'm a strong support of DPS meter for this exact reason. Maybe next time some idiot is claiming DPS meter will hurt newbies and undergeared players, you can pop in and tell them where to shove their opinion.

I've been kicked from even LFGs for more ridiculous reasons than yours, and the only advice I have for you is to just suck it up and move on. I can empathise with you for getting pissed at what has happened, but getting hung up on IMS-related issues will get you nowhere, since you will never be able to control what other players feel or do.

Got kicked? Go ahead and get angry, since I would initially do the same, but also take your assumptions on what you THINK had happened with a pinch of salt, since it may or may not be what you've assumed it to be. The real fault could lie with the majority of players that chose to kick you, yet it could also lie with you, AND you will have no way to find out (unless you really can't drop that ego of yours and try hunting the party members down to ask them, and that's assuming they even bother to give you a reply).
Like what @TWMagimay said, everything that happens in a party is subject to a majority vote, whether you like it or not. If you really feel the kick to be unjustified, maybe just avoid IMS altogether and stick to LFGs. That way, you reduce the chance of getting unjustifiably kicked.

Hope this helps you, and good day.
  • 1 kick if your crystal suck
2 ilvl dosent mean anything its more skill base and you can tell from night and day from it i would guess you got kicked because your gear rolls were terrible or crystal

just to let you know 70% people can read how good another player is with there crystal/gear rolls aka your crit and power
not much to say but iv kicked people in low lvl dungeons because they had bad crystal or no crystal at all
if you had to choose between a 15min dungeon run vs a 5hr run well i would chose 15min but maby you dont have a life and like the 5hr

remember IM runs are not meant for learning runs nobody wants take your hand and show you step by step on what to do because your not even in the same server as them and there not going to ever see you again so why spend 5hr explain and of course wasting more gold the what the actually dungeon pay back (been in runs where iv spent over 20k in a dungeon because of a first timer but it was a guildi so i was fine with it and money is ez to get but im not going to do that for a stranger for shield phases)
  • shifting off RK9 discussion for a bit, on the topic of IMSing within TERA, I think there definitely will be some culture shock for some people.

I understand that most perceive IMS to be a newbie's gateway to dungeons in a very clique-y and sometimes exclusive (arguably) end-game community where party leaders in LFG typically look out for the skilled tag. Whereas in some other games that employ a similar system, it is usually used by experienced players as a quick and fuss-free way to gather a capable party.

because u may run into players that share the latter opinion when you IMS, it may not be the best place to conduct learning runs. I would personally advise players keen on learning to LFG for a learning run. while it may take a while to fill, you are assured of like-minded players with a similar goal as you. as an added perk, many times bored veterans will join in while conscious that you are learning and will know to be patient and offer you help and advice you would be naive to expect in an IMS run.

I also understand there are also some community initiatives towards helping people learn end-game content. For example, I remember that a player on MT has expressed on forums that he is willing to help people with learning runs for RK9, so you may want to browse the forums for his thread if you play on that server.

Oh man... After reading all of this I don't know where to start so I'll just go all out.
This post is coming from someone with masochistic tendencies that loves to queue into trap runs from time to time, sometimes alone as a healer, sometimes with their pocket tank and (majority of the times) carry them to their victory.
I like ims for what it is - a trap paradise. You never know what to expect, and ims tends to be filled with newbies that are too shy to admit they're new.
And even though I love trapping myself in ims I avoid queueing rk9. And your thread pretty much sums up why I avoid it. But I'll vent my rk9 experiences here anyway.

Let's say I do queue rk9 with a really good tank that knows they should save buffs for shield phase with bad dps. We will get 3 dps, and we will depend on them on the last boss (partially the first one too, if two bombs happen to explode there's a very low chance of survival). So before we start the dungeon I would have to sound rude (and imply I'm using a damage meter) and tell the three dps, I very much depend on in this dungeon, that in order to clear they must do good dps. It's the truth, but to a potential newbie, or someone who doesn't understand how this game works, it just sounds elitist.

If they admit they don't have the damage.. we will have to kick them because you can't improve your class in the course of one dungeon, but that situation never happened to me yet, being honest about your damage that is (because people don't know mostly).
If they don't say anything I will have to go through the first two bosses and arrive at the last boss with fear. At this point, if I noticed first two bosses took 10+ minutes I know the last one will most likely be a wipe.
Now where does that put me? Either I have to be rude again and tell them they won't be able to do this and kick them, or suck it up and get stuck wiping until the dps get tired and finally comprehend the fact that they aren't able to clear, which I knew from the start but didn't say because I tried to avoid conflict or whatever.

That's why I avoid rk9 ims. Because people like you don't understand that even if you do have frostmetal +0 it doesn't guarantee you a safe run. By a safe run I mean maybe 2-3 wipes on last boss cause people are learning. Some people can learn it but they simply can't do enough damage (they don't know proper rotations, high ping, bad crystals, god forbid bad rolls).
I know people that do more damage in frostmetal than some of the same class do in stormcry, but a vast majority of fresh frostmetal players won't have good dps. This game is very skill based and rk9 is very dps dependant which directly correlates to your skill level and gear.

Since you said you went through first two bosses it means the others gave you a chance, somebody had a dps meter and thought to themself "oh honey, this just isn't going to cut it" and you got kicked. That's just how it is, in a dungeon like that. They don't have a choice but to kick you because if they don't do crazy damage on their own they won't be able to carry you and they will likely need someone else of the same or higher skill level to help them clear it.

In conclusion, I doubt you were kicked because of your gear, but because of your (lack of) dps. Unless they explicitly stated so, in that case they might have been lying to avoid a direct insult to you or they were just a bit stupid, which happens as well.

That sums it up, if you have the patience for new people then IMS, cause people should know what they're up against.
IMS should be more friendly imo, too much toxicity. I always do my best to explain mechanics in the best possible way to new players, and if I see things aren't going well I'll say so and be honest, but never just kick out of nowhere, except people that don't speak English, that can't be helped.
