Coming again with the comparation Lancer vs Brawler
Hello everyone,
I know this question has been made many times, indeed i looked for these topics but they are from 1+ year ago.
I am EU player, who moved to NA server, I have been playing Brawler in EU and I was curious about try out Lancer, which tank is better nowadays PvE/PvP wise?
Thanks in advance!

Lancer is a steroid machine for your party, while Brawler is basically a front DPS.
I have a god tier brawler in guild that I would absolutely kidnap to every dungeon every battleground, so like class really doesn't matter, skill does. Unless parse runs, that's a whole different story.
And yes if you're from EU chances are you don't want to play lancer.
try warrior tank ,
or if you want play "casual" get brawler
You can be the best brawler in the world and you still won't have Arush.
Brawler -> Casual Mode
Nothing wrong with either
If your party WEAK, Brawler>Lancer.
If your party STRONG, Lancer>Brawler.
For Personal DPS.
If your ping high, Brawler>>Lancer.
If your ping low, Brawler>Lancer.
I agre with you best output damage party right now must have Lancer and mystic and 3 experient DPS's, wich makes Lancer good for closed partys, but Lancers is still a ping dependent class which makes it prohibitive for most players, maybe with upcoming Brawler's endurance debuff from jackhammer could improve dps a little.
You should try out both if you have time and decide which one suit you the best is my advice . I find lancer funnier and more challenging than brawler , as others say lancer is pure tank , you feel like you play a tank class as lancer while brawler you feel more like a front dps ... you keep aggro by keep hitting and don't have to worry about have to time block attacks manually like lancer that's all . Your choose to be a pure tank or an offensive tank , both have pros and cons I can try to list some .
Lancer :
Pros :
+ More stun .
+ Keep aggro easier , aggro shout skill lower cd and can be spam .
+ Have party buffs .
+ 0 sec cd dodge as long as you have resolve you cna keep dodging .
+ The only skill that would have a long animation lock which can't be cancel is wallop .
Cons :
- Self dmg is lower than brawler , my lancer with better gear and higher critic factor than my brawler critic 2 times less than my brawler with bad gear , how sad .
- Have to manual block attacks the only skill has auto front block is wallop but you may get animation lock and die because you can't cancel it mid way .
- No bullrush , lancer's rush skill can't change direction .
- Onslaught desync at high ping and may turn boss , kill you randomly .
Brawler :
Pros :
+ Growing fury 0 sec cd when turn on grant all yours attack a front block effect so you don't have to manual block stuffs just can auto attack if all skills on cd still have block on.
+ Can air combo small mobs to death if you know how which make this class very safe to tank ton of small mobs in same time which lancer can't .
+ Perfect block also deal dmg to enemy .
+ Bullrush can gather mobs and change to all directions .
+ Self dmg higher than lancer and critic way more than lancer .
+ More kd and stagger than lancer . Some is from normal attack combo which don't required mp .
Cons:
- Only 1 stun skill if you fail stun at some stun mechanic then rip you .
- No party buff only self buff ( growing fury ) .
- Air hit skills are useless against bams and bosses since you can't toss them on air .
- Haymaker like Onslaught may sometime glitch/desync which make boss suddenly turn in other side .
- Have to keep dmg boss to keep aggro since aggro shout too long cd . If you try to move boss and your dps keep hitting boss you will never success it since you need to hit boss to regenate more aggro .
- Easier to get animation lock than lancer and die because of that .
I may have forgotten some details but I think I point out the essentials . If someone have something to add to my list go ahead .
Warrior tank has 10% Endurance debuff (correct me if I am wrong) AND a permanent mini A-rush. And contrary to what you may think a warrior tank has that potential to outdps Brawler tanks way easier than before. Meaning Brawler is outclassed in every single way. Yes Brawler has it way easier at doing damage especially in earlier dungeons where you can get multiple free "reflect damage" as well as free infinite block, but that's about it. A future patch (confirmed from KTERA) giving slight but sufficient buffs to brawler and priest (5% CDR buff on estars, who wouldn't want that?) will make them more viable.
And let's be honest. The only real reason why warrior tanks aren't very common is because the game lags a ton whenever there is one.
