Seeking veteran advice

New player seeking advice. If I just grind pvp and lvl fast to 65, is there enough end game to keep me occupied for 1. casual, 2. elitist play styles? My searches tell me Tera's endgame is getting them dank elin costumes lol, so I'm wondering if you'd recommend just slowing down and questing/exploring lore to really enjoy the game, or if there actually is enough endgame pvp/pve. I know this is all dependent on one's preference of game play. General answers from all perspectives requested.

When you reach lvl 65 you will be able to queve on these Battlegrounds:

    - Kumas Royale
    - Iron Battledround
    - Sky Ring
    - Griddion
    - Fraywind Cannyon
    - Cosair Stronghold

You will be able to do some solo content as:

    - Ghillieaglade
    - Pit of Petax, even if you dont have the required ilevel you can do it and get the drops from the dungeon.
    - ACE dungeons
    - Celestial arena
    - Records of Aranea
    - Island of Dawn bams (tier 1 with guardian set, tier 2 with twisthard set and tier 3 with frostmetal set.

Also you can do the end-game dungeons with a static party or throught Instance Matching.

    With Guardian set:

    - Revenous George
    - Kallivan's Challenge
    - Shatered Fleet

    With Twisthard set:

    - Kallivan's Dreadnaught
    - Lilith's Keep Normal Mode
    - Thaumetal Refinery Normal Mode

    With Frostmetal set:

    - Thaumetal Reginery Hard Mode
    - Lilith's Keep Hard Mode
    - RK-9 Kennel Normal Mode
    - Scycruiser Endeavour Normal Mode

    With Stormcry set:

    - RK-9 Kennel Hard Mode

For Mass PvE content you can do Harrowhold.

For Mass PvP aside from Battlegounds you can do Guild vs Guild wars and Civil Unrest.

Yet there are some people that says there is so few content in Tera.
  • The lower level content is so easy at this point (and so broken, story-wise) that there's no point in doing it. Most likely you'll get to end game and grind the same 5 instances over and over until you go insane. If you're a pvper, tera's combat is probably one of the best MMO pvp experiences around, but the scene is quite dead at this point.
  • Pretty much all the content of the game is endgame, and there's definitely enough to keep you busy for a long time
  • The 1-64 (pre-cap) game might as well not exist. So, it's perfectly OK to level in PvP/Kumas. You're not really missing anything. The capped 65 game is so different for every class that what you learn pre-65 about your class and it's play is pretty much useless. You'll hit 65 and then have to rework every single detail about your play -- button layout, rotations, gearing, glyph builds, crystals, etc. etc..

The only things that will remain the same are the gross generalities about the class -- roughly how the skills work and are used plus it's role as tank, dps, or heal -- those remain the same. If you don't like a class by level 20, chances are pretty good you won't like it at 65. But, liking it at 64 doesn't mean you'll like it at 65. Things can change that much at the cap.

I'd urge any new player to look up the class guides posted on EssentialMana. Some are a bit dated, but they all provide very useful information about how the class plays at cap. Pay special attention to classes that require non-obvious rotations or play-styles and try them early to see if you're OK with them; eg. Berserker requires a LOT of block-canceling (skill-block-skill-block-skill-block etc forever) or your dps will be so bad, people will learn to avoid you. Each class has it's own unique way of maximizing it's potential; just be OK with the methods your class needs at cap and you'll do fine.

Can be worth it to take your time. If you enjoy reading quests, there are some great jokes and references in there. I loved exploring as I went.

But there is nothing to say you can't do that after hitting end-game either.

what you've listed isnt really that much. especially when your ilvl isnt that great for some reasons or you dont belong to big guild

You don't need to be in a big guild or on a guild at all.

The only thing that can hurt your choices to run most of the content is to be playing far from the peak hours of the game and that myself I have been experienced and still managed to run all content each patch.

I listed the minimum gear requided for some dungeons and they are only limited on Instance Matching because you can do them even with a lower tier of gear through other means. The only thing you dont get when doing dungones with ilevel required above yours is vanguard rewards and that is not a big deal if you are willingly to run content in that state.

Most of the content at end-game can be done with gardian set.
