Returning player - Help gearing up

Hey all,

I been out of this game for a few years and decided to come back for a spin. I just went through my story and reached 65. I received the free armor set from the quest and I am not sure what to do after this. I was reading an old guide that said something about a free set of Guile armor through a quest chain, but I can't seem to find the quest (Desolate Garden) on Island of Dawn. I did the previous one, Ominous News. The guide is a year old so I am assuming it isn't relevant anymore?

According to the gear I got from the story you can upgrade it to Twistshard at +6. Is that what I should be going for? I didn't want to waste resources if there was better alternatives.

    The new Guardian Set and the gear it upgrades to (after enchanting to +6) is much better than Guile. Essential Mana has an updated gearing guide, but the tl;dr is this:

    Get your Guardian set, run Ravenous Gorge, Kalivan's Challenge and Shattered Fleet for mats (2 star dungeons in the Instance Matching System). Once upgraded, repeat the process with Twistshard and the 3 star dungeons (Kalivan's Dreadnaught, Lillith's Keep, Thaumetal Refinery).
