so the actual on viable way to get these essences is with a static in HM dungeons that will eventually drop them.
thats like.... say 1 essence per 3 runs thats 27 rk9's to enchant the weapon with perfect luck.
though it will prbly take 2 or 3 times as many runs and factoring out perfect luck id guess it takes 36-45 essences for the weapon.
You my friend on a statistical plot of enchanting would be considered a outlier.
May the gods of rng continue to smile upon thee.
It is super frustrating! My friend and I are both slayers and we both were trying to upgrade our Frostmetal to Stormcry. She had a 21% chance at upgrade. I had a 56% Chance. Guess who upgraded? Not me
maybe this is bhs's way of separating hardcore players from the casual players then
Didnt say i need'd it still just commenting on how RNG is crap and how difficult gathering mats is, and adding those two factors together how crap it is to get SC+9.
Look. Having maxed stormcry is completely unnecessary. You don't even need to have it highly enchanted. What this new gearing system was designed to fix was the gearing cycle where we'd get a new set every couple months, because that was the longevity of the content. On top if this, it wasn't worth upgrading to the next weapon because the weapon wouldn't be good until fully enchanted, and I don't think I need to elaborate on how AWFUL the awakening system was.
What this gear patch did was broaden the horizons a little bit and give you something to work for. Reaching the minimum gear requirements became easier, while maxing the gear became harder. And the content has been designed in such a way that doesn't require completely maxed out gear like every patch preceding it.
What this gear patch was meant to do was to extend the longevity of the content while making progression more linear. While the execution isn't perfect, it is functioning as intended.
Unless you'd prefer getting bis +15 within weeks of patch release, get bored, and quit until the next patch like people always did in the past. I personally prefer having something to actively work towards
They either need to increase the sucecss chances OR lower the materials needed.
Now it really depends on LUCK. If you got good luck YAY good for you, you can play the game and enjjoy it.
If you got BAD look then you're screwed, as you gonna have to try 5+ times to enchant a weapon and pay through the nose for it all too.
I think the core system is GOOD, but it needs some tweaking right now.

About the same as failing 10 times in a row. If you flipped a coin 9 times and it came up heads, tails, tails, tails, tails, heads, tails, heads, tails, you know what the odds are of it coming up heads on the next flip? 50/50 because the previous flips have zero bearing on the next. It's a fallacy everyone this patch seems to be falling into. Doesn't help that the enchanting window tells you your odds now.
As for "boohoo it's hard to get +9 Stormcry" .... that's kinda the point of the system. +15 was stupidly easy to get. +9 Stormcry is supposed to be reserved for the most tryhard of tryhards like +15 was supposed to be originally. It's supposed to take you weeks or months. When the next gear comes out in KTera probably 3-4 months from now, Frostmetal and Stormcry both will probably be upgradeable to whatever the new mid/high/top tiers are in a way similar to how Ambush/DW was done, proving that +9 wasn't even necessary for that much. You can clear everything out now in +9 Frostmetal and probably clear RKHM in the same. RKEM might need +5 Stormcry but I'm 100% certain it won't need above +7.
Current sources of essences: WBAMs, HH, CU, PvP RNG boxes iirc
Future sources coming soon(TM): RKEM
They're not supposed to be easy to get.
.38 * .35 * .32 = 0.04256, which means this has a 4.2% chance of happening.
That's not what he's asking. He's not asking for the chance of a specific enchant, since that's just given to you, but rather the chance of failing 3x in a row with those odds.
You see my all my alts!!! XD
But i havent really been playing tera that long. Plus im not a HW afker, not saying ya are but thats game time. XD
