Will they only be available thru this Black Friday offer? If so, would it not have been more lucrative to offer the chance at an item that all races and genders can use? I know there is at least a vocal minority of users that are absolutely against playing elins (if not the entire existence of elins in general).

If someone can clarify me the details it would be interesting to understand (to begin with cause I'm... well... read my name, so I'm hyping any cute costume I can get)
What I understand so far is that this is like how the Blackheart weapon skins were a few years ago, in that you'll only be able to buy it (at least for now) as a purchase bonus (either outright for the $250 tier, or the lootboxes for other tiers). But as you see with the Blackheart skins, as it came back in future years, it became slightly more available (this year they're selling the lootbox, but only in the sale window). I am assuming that will be the case with these too -- it's not exclusive like the way Hello Kitty was, but more like a "seasonal rare."
So the costume will be way cheaper on the last day of the sale. After that day, it might stay at the same price for a couple of days, but then, it will skyrocket to insane levels, just like the Hello Kitty costume.
Well, "way cheaper" is relative in this case because the amount of lootboxes they're giving away isn't that many, even for a $100 purchase. If the odds are the way they usually are for lootboxes, it might take 30-40 on average to get one. But I do agree that the price will surely go up from there, at least eventually.

Yeah, that's right. I don't know for sure, but based on the fact that the Black Friday costume will be on our next-Thursday build, I'd be willing to bet they'll also launch the other costume at the same time (starting on the 30th). It makes tons of sense to have a new Elin costume up for sale at the same time as the new Elin class launches. (And people who will see the Black Friday-exclusive one suddenly appear on people will have something related they can buy instead.)

Yup, and just to clarify as a tl;dr (in case anyone else is reading the thread too and has the same questions):
1. At least for now, it'll be exclusive to the EMP purchase rewards. In future years, though, the lootbox might appear again (like Blackheart did this year).
2. The counterpart costume for all females isn't part of the Black Friday event, but is almost certainly coming soon ("sold separately").
(People who are planning to buy the other costume anyway might consider buying the EMP during the weekend to get the bonuses, and then save it for later when that costume arrives.)

Priorities eh, I also could never dump that much money on a game of any sorts, heck that's a considerable sum of the price of the hardware it runs on!
But I've seen someone selling EMP up to 60K of it, in one go. So... JUST 500 dollars worth of it, in one go.
There's people that don't earn that much in a month here... Still, I'm all happy they do this, pays the server bills and we get our EMP stuff at the same time, everyone wins.
