Lack of Console Information

When a few time ago i post about the console launch of TERA,people say that the devs provide a very lack of information. Now i know how they feel. From time to time i pass to this forums for take any info about the console launch. But i only see normal posts of the game and now about Elin gunner.

Also neither we have info about the human male brawler. One guy say that human male brawler will be launched in 6 months, but i do not know if he invented that,or is a true fact.

The lack of information TERA devs provide us is awesome. Also i can not post on my right forums,Eu ones,i am Eu player, cus i got banned for unknown reasons of that Eu forums, the moderators have normal player friends that if they got "offended" they cry to their mod friends and then they ban what they want.

Hopefully, the console TERA forums have a forums appart, specially in Eu ones.

But the main fact is the lack of information. Last time,a staff member says that the next 2 months, they will provide info. That message was in October. I will wait till the start of January of 2018. But a little info about the actual state of the game on console should be grateful.

  • They don't give playerbase any news simply because they don't have anything new to say. Tera devs are inexperienced in console porting and it's taking longer than expected so they can't plan release ahead. Some updates would be indeed nice but it's still better than giving beta release date and postponing it every few weeks. F2p titles have quite limited budget.

Well, some games provide beta, and then the launch, and noone dies.

It will come in 2018, PS4, there are leaked videos. BHS is pooping again. Might be rumors but that's what I found looking around.

The issue here is that devs are still not certain about beta release too. They don't intend to just release demo from PAX West with 1 location in low resolution and call it a beta. I agree BHS revealed the info about console Tera a bit too early for what Western players are used to.
  • It's supposed to playable at the PS Experience event on December 9-10, so I imagine you might get your next status update then.

It's interesting that you know that and pretty much no one else does. Did EME tell you (I would say because of PC, but I hear they barely tell their player council anything either.) or do you scour the internet for this info?
I don't even own a console and the way EME has been handling the console information is just disappointing.

It came up in stream chat a few times, and is listed on the conference website:
    https://blog.us.playstation.com/2017/11/16/playstation-experience-2017-more-than-80-exhibitors-confirmed/

(Spacecats mentioned on stream that he wasn't going, but some other EME folk would be there.)

But besides that, being playable at a conference isn't going to help most people except those that are going to it anyway, and when there's actually something actionable (e.g. a playable beta) I'm sure they'll let everyone know loud and clear. The lack of info is just because there's nothing actionable to say yet.

It's still better than nothing. And I get there is nothing actionable, but there is currently only radio silence.

so true. they need to fix the problems with the pc version before making a console game.
  • Maybe Gazillion should talk to bhs about pc and console ports...

    Too soon maybe?

Now this is silly. Why would we want all the gucky pc problems that are being fixed for console. That and pc gaming is dying. Think about it what/when did you buy your last NON INTERNET BASED game? ... Told you :P

Been long since I don't enter an argument with you but... I can barely agree with anything written there. PC problems that are being fixed? That's my hope, and hope as well that fixes will be ported. But as far as we've been informed even from En Masse team some months ago, the two versions (PC and console) will be many builds far from each other, PC leading the way. I don't expect this time gap to be used for fixing stuff each new PC patch so console is on par/better than PC version. What we have seen is an interface revamp, and that's it. Hope this already helps the FPS, as it has been proved over and over in the past and still valid nowadays that the interface is eating our performance on PC.
PC gaming is dying... Won't even enter on this.
Always-on Internet games? Agree that those are utter BS, but the fact that we're talking about TERA now, kinda voids that point (besides it's not mandatory for all games anyway, even if this BS is increasing), since that will be an Internet based game on all platforms, possibly even TERA-M.

What I do give it is that the comment that led to this (the "just get the PC version") one is completely pointless.
  • Jabberwonkey found them saying that but i meant they are being fixed for console. Dunno about pc stuffs hasnt pcedin years. What i meant by internet based is pc gaming has been dying out for a long time. Consoles are on par with pcs now. If you hasn't noticed lots of games came to console since pc gaming dying out.. Not saying pc pointless just got grr at [filtered] saying this is pc only pc you knows grr pc pompus leetists who no realize pc gaming slowly dying.
  • Never said mobile but alot of companies are seeing fewer sales on pc ncsoft ea even disney. Feel free to research.
