How To Hit Multiple Haymakers at Once

There is a cool trick you can do as a brawler to land multiple Haymakers at once. It makes farming IoD bams go a lot faster. When you see the BAM starting to charge at you (trample attack) do a perfect block Haymaker and it will strike multiple times.

Currently, its' just stupid to farm IOD with archer, sorc, zerker and priest.

It's like no farming IOD without brawler and ninja. or maybe mystic.

Nerf IOD BAM. We don't have Ktera's Talent system.

I'm farming at least low and mid tier IoD with zerker and archer. With sorc I can farm low tier only. I hardly ever use my brawler much but shouldn't be difficult. After all, brawler is all about stand and punch for this kind of farming.

I did note that the mid tier IoD bam has a way much higher HP count and endurance than low tier, and it's closer to high tier. I can kill a low tier bam as zerker in 4 back crit thunderstrike shots, with +12 DN weapon, but it would take me more than 10 of those same crit shots for mid tier.

As for the first post, nice find. Maybe we can find other things to speed farming a little.
  • It's the block damage hitting, not the haymaker. The haymaker was 1.58 at the end, the blocks were 180-600k

Have you tried CC'ing it? Time Gyre and Stun Trap are a REALLY nice thing for mid tier BAMs on Sorc and it get a bit less frustrating, it doesn't solve the issue entirely and it's not optimal farming but hey, if you're patient for it you can do it without so many problems... except fangspawns... those... things... have HATED my sorc since the very beginning of his life -_-"... Fimbrilisks on the other hand... I've never had issues (funny since out of the three they move the most...)

Yosha's sorc is really well geared, to be honest, but I think you brought a good point...

Most of the complaints I'm reading about old classes in IoD, specifically archer and sorcerer, seem to come from players who use those classes as alts for farming, and we need to understand that a guy who plays whatever class as an alt won't be as skilled as someone who uses that same class as a main character.

My main is a slayer and as "regular" alts I have precisely a sorc and an archer; with the slayer I can farm BAMs of any tier reasonably fast, but even if I know how to use the other two to some extent, I can't farm nearly as fast with them as I can do it with my slayer... however, I'm pretty sure a player who mains any of those classes can do the work just as fast as I do it with my main.

Of course, I agree these BAMs are surely balanced for the korean client and if it wasn't for the doubled rewards it would be a waste of time to farm them, but while we don't have the same tools balance-wise I honestly think it's a matter of practice and upgrading our character's gear accordingly.

There's nothing left to nerf there. They have barely any hp and barely do any damage.

But the issue with bams is more generic: treating them as solo monsters is a nonsense - even more so in "endgame" level 65 area.

It would be so much better for everyone involved if they were proper group monsters: proper hp, proper damage stats, more fun.

Sure nothing is impossible with +15. Try doing that on a dread sorc.

I've seen a dreadnaught Ninja taking a whole 8 minutes to kill a single Naga. :^)

    That's a garbage player then.

Again, it's both the gear AND the skill of the player. If this is a Yosha video, we know he's a god of Tera. He has both natural talent for these kinds of things and also worked extra hard to be the Tera idol he is right now. How many players of this caliber you see around farming IoD? How many of those players even exist in NA Tera? I know that the main message here is "git gud and stop Q.Q ing", but not everyone has the real talent or the time to practice to actually attain such level of skill and power in a game. Do I agree that everyone should get better? Of course. It makes a more skilled community if everyone got better, but reality is that most players can't, for the life of them, get past average player status, and even devs know this.

IoD is supposed to be more of a farming place, and as such, many people thought of it as an easy place to farm stuff for a daily or while waiting on their dungeon queues. Now, these bams do hit like wet noodles. I admit that. One must mess REALLY hard to get killed by one. But from what I see, it's not about getting killed we are here, but about how long these things take to get killed, seen only as farm material that's not supposed to be too challenging.

To answer @Svafnir I do use CC often not only on sorc but on all classes that have them. My only problems with sorc is that I haven't grasped it's mobility, and the fact that I have to stay in a single place for a long period of time I'm not used to just to pull DPS. Also, that dps is still low on gear such as DN. On my slayer I can toss 3 attacks, move, stun, toss 3 or so more attacks, use my other stun, attack again, and generally keep a good flow by milking evasion, stun and dps. Can't do that with sorc unless I pretty much main it and forget about all other classes. Fangspawns are the enemy of almost all classes. I was doing them with my zerk yesterday and the main problem I had was how to circle them fast enough to do back crits. They are extra wide and turn on a whim, and while zerk now has evade, that move was designed more for classes that can attack quickly after one. Evasive smash is an alternative but from my experience it's dps is not that great.

Yosha is not a God of Tera, he's a human being who happens to be good at his main class.

Perhaps I've used a denomination that people in religion may find offensive. My excuses if that was the case. But on the matter, Yosha didn't "happen" to be good at it. Not only is he naturally talented for gaming, he also practiced and worked a lot to be where he is. And that's why he is now known far and wide around the tera community as one of the best, and for some, the best Tera player.

Anyway. This discussion is about something else. Not about my 5 minute admiration for a person who can do what I couldn't.

at first you needed SF gear to meet the requierment to even do these dailies, and was only lowered on our version of the game because people were complaining because they couldnt farm the best tokens on their dread alts

Before the i-level reduction on IoD bams, tier 3 could only be done for credits by people with Slaughter gear and up. Full dread +12 wasn't enough. Then people asked for a reduction on VG i-level and EME did just that, but I don't think they can address the bam HP issue themselves, and i doubt BHS would bother to release a patch for that. I could be wrong and maybe EME can mess with the HP, but I really doubt it.

Still, the solution in my opinion is not in nerfing the bams. It's on balancing the classes. Unless by balancing it means a general nerf that makes the current stronger classes and everyone else down to the level of the weaker hitting classes, which in my opinion would be the gold best, as I keep hearing people Q.Q ing about the game being too easy and things dying too quickly. Though I assume many of those are FOTM jumpers anyway.
