Two accounts...NA and EU separate?

I recently (well, recently - read Gunner release recently haha) got back to Tera and played a while. It would appear I have first played on NA servers nd then on EU servers because those gunners I playtested don't show up anywhere...

As the nubbest noob question, this is certain to hit the spot haha:
Are NA and EU servers separate game versions?
Reinstalling I simply hit the top search result and installed.

Now it appears I played this version aaaages ago and more recently some *other* version...
Oh my. Perhaps I need to reinstall that other version of Tera.

    Yup, EU and NA are completely separate: different publishers, different accounts, different servers. If you're from EU and using Steam, you'll get the EU version (we used to be able to get the NA version, but Gameforge threw a hissy fit and it's not available for EU users anymore).

    Oh dear, then I might need to reinstall =) Put quite some time in over there.
    Had me scratching my head why I didn't find that account, no wonder.
