Gunner Race Changing Question

Does anyone know if we can race-change existing gunners (Castanic/High Elf) to Elin gunners?
Tried to find some info on this, but all the info I found was outdated by several months.

    You cannot race-change them at the moment, and so far EME has not made any promises as to whether you'll be allowed to change them in the future.
