I have an idea to make dead server looks active

Now the system only notice some gear enchanting or loot box news: "xxx enchant +7 gear" for example. Maybe the system can also notice the end-game dungeon clear notice, like "xxx, xxx, xxx killed nightmare RK9", "xxx, xxx, xxx .... xxx killed nightmare Vergos". So this can make the dead server (AV, FF, CH) ppl feel that at least many other ppl are doing something.

Not trying to be harsh, but a lot of people don't like those popup displays and would rather they not show up at all. Adding even more to the game would be excess on top of excess.

While we're on the topic please implement a way to eliminate those messages. I don't care when people enchant their gear or get rewarded for being a whale, and it's distracting since it's the same font as the combat notifications and friend notifications.

I agree, if anything, those amount of notifications from enchanting and lootboxes are only nuisances.
  • Yep, bad idea, I HATED that in other games that I have played. It drove me crazy! :/
  • Those lootbox notices remind me of the lights and horns that go off on a slot machine when someone hits the jackpot. It always seemed to me that the notices were there to entice others to blow money on lootboxes, etc.

yes in black desert those pop up are pain :/

They wont remove them or add a toggle because it's a marketing decision, and marketing decisions almost never get changed to help the player. More notices of people getting lucky gives an inflated sense of luck when it comes to gambling with chance. 20+ other people got +7, why can't I? I saw 40 people get X from lootboxes, it must mean the drop chance is pretty good!

That's why practically every game shouts out when someone wins some RNG thing, especially when it comes to gambling or something you can spend money on, with no way to turn it off.

Yes, I understand why they do it, and I know they won't change it anytime soon since there is a clear marketing strategy behind it. But I can dream at least.

It's also true, as the thread OP says, that these types of announcements do bring a feeling of more people playing the game to a certain degree, so the OP's point does have some merit... but yeah, the problem is that people find it annoying and there's no way to turn it off currently. Plus, I'm supposing not everyone running dungeons with friends would want to have that advertised in public all the time either.

imagine it... you're there running rk9EM, you have the last boss down to the single digit percentile, this is gonna be ur first clear, you can't wait for the personal feeling of achievement, the whole team is working in tandem, it's a well-oiled machine, beautiful really. you got him down to the red! this is the homestretch!

ANNOUNCEMENT: THESE 20 PEOPLE JUST KILLED VERGOS

a huge announcement with 20 names of people your neither know nor care about fills your screen, it's sudden and jarring, and worst of all it delivers a punch of lag.. suddenly rk9 radars, boom healer dead, s-bomb, rest of ya'll dead, no one could see what was coming. literally.

    gg good game

How is that going to help? Most people on those "dead servers" run with their statics or guilds, which is why the servers look dead in the first place if you only look at LFG activity.

They put content in game, servers will be active. Simple as that. Nothing to do in this game if you don't like dungeons.

Nope. Don't want bunch of announcements in my screen.
  • I have a better idea. The devs stop deleting content to sell dungeon reset scrolls and perhaps more people will stay to buy other shop items.

I have an idea to make servers look more active , actually make them active by re implementing open world content so people can be seen playing , in stead of pretending it's busy with more on screen advertising
And it also help to re introduce back in to the game the ability to officially do solo dungeon runs
