  • I just remembered. If EME is part of BHS and therefor part of Nexon, why cant they get the license from them to release these absolutely amazing looking costumes in our region?
Did EME even attempt to get them released here?

  • Tera EU actually made a madeshift Alice Dress. Granted it was just a blue colored parlor maid outfit but at least its better then the middle finger we got. It also proves Gameforge has some control over the games costume content.
That dress actually caused a lot of outrage because EU sorta misled the community about what dress it was. I dont think a poorly made knockoff is an improvement.

I really like the eu event and it'd be nice to see something like that set up here. Unfortunately I think eme is short staffed. They're already down a person since Halrath moved to a different game. Once they're able to fill in everything hopefully we'll be able to see an improvement.

Granted they could have done a better job on the knockoff by giving it the signature striped kneesocks and market it as such, or better yet ask that modder for help to fix the real thing and just release it but at least they did more than EME ever did which was my point.

Did you see some of the BG changes they implemented?

Corsairs’ Stronghold: A new 30v30 version is also available. When you die here, you’re dead – only the last survivor can destroy the crystal!
Fraywind Canyon: No BAMs or monsters will be summoned in the existing version.
Fraywind Canyon: A new 10v10 version is also available. No BAMs will be summoned in this version and you require fewer points for victory.

That 30v30 CS sounds like fun. Why can't we have nice things?

that CS sounds insane and i want it. just a bunch of healers surviving at the end trying to kill each other and break the crystal with their puny dps. gimme

I wish EME could hire Tera EU community manager. He seems to be a better event planner than ours...

Here's the difference. GameForge is not a part of BlueHole Studios, therefor they have more freedom of what events they can hold, and in what capacity.

Whereas here at EnMasse, the staff are limited and over-seen by BHS with decisions regarding events, etc. If BHS doesn't approve it, we don't get it. Simple.

Things are a lot stricter when you have someone having to approve each change or promotion you make.

    Pretty much this.

If I remember correctly, Gameforge have, on top of the Dreadspire Revamp, Extreme Modes planned for Abcess, Kelsiak and another dungeon which I can't remember. Heck, I was chatting to one of the Gameforge staff about adding the skeletons from HH into DSU for funsies, but I'm not sure whether he got it to trigger the skeletons or not.

If EME could get the authorisation to run stuff like this, then we'd be in for a fun ride.
  • @Halrath @Spacecats @CobaltDragon We NEED to bring this over. This is an event that I know for a fact all of my friends want to do. Please get this on NA Tera!!

BHS is not part of Nexon at all, just for what it's worth. Nexon is just the Korean publisher for TERA; no impact on company ownership.

That wasn't even an event server, that was just a test server to see if a different routing would work for the main servers due to the ongoing issues they keep having.

This is an actual event server with incentives to play on it WHILE also releasing a decent event to both that server and the main servers. I know plenty of people who keep longing for DSU to come back, and this is exactly that plus some extra.
  • I am from eu, I came here because the player base there was starting to fall off, this was over a year ago, if things actually get fixed on eu, i'm not the only one that I will go back and gradually more and more, under 20 ping for 145 for what I do get now, better management, I actually start to like that trade. A lot of people from eu play here, if things keep going in the same direction, I know we will not be missed, but a lot of people will go back, despite having friends here and after making ties.
Yeah I actually miss Tonka, How to Slayer, actually got me into it, Aman Slayer, heartseeker strike missed eveything.
    Greatest content ever: (has more)

No it didn't. It was entirely Wiped , which sucked because I had some seriously awesome stuff there

I know it didn't I was just wondering how did @Vinyltails found any similarities between WH and upcoming Tera EU event...

I know it didn't I was just wondering how did @Vinyltails found any similarities between WH and upcoming Tera EU event...

It was a test server where they ran various server-specific events (fast leveling, various BAM spawns, temporary cosmetic prizes), etc. so it's a tiny bit similar, but this is obviously quite a bit different since this is designed to be an "alternate server" where you can transfer back home later, whereas the other was a "temporary server" just for fun (just to test the datacenter/network).

The reason they can probably do this is because, with this approach, they don't have to worry at all about long term implications of future updates (etc.). They can mess with the server settings all they want, and by the time the next update comes the server's gone anyway. (The biggest reason they don't make direct changes to live servers anymore is because of the monthly update problem.) So it's an interesting strategy to do experimental things and get feedback about what people think. The door to do is was probably open once K-TERA did their own test server for the new patch changes. It's probable that EME could do something similar, but their focus right now is probably setting up the test servers for TERA Console, which Gameforge isn't involved with at all (even in EU).
