Another TERA Server Merger??....

I keep hearing that there's gonna be another server merger by the end of this year or beginning of the next.....anyone know whats up with that rumor??

    There are no plans for a server merge before the end of the year.

    As far as I know there are no plans at all, but even if they were planning to do it, they certainly wouldn't do it around the holidays. It causes way too many support issues.

    EME staff believes that all server population is healthy, players on AV, FF and CH are trying to make parties with NPC merchants, but it seems that NPC merchants are moving to other servers too.

    if servers were to merge even more and people loose and loose more names that they worked hard getting for (around the cheapskate name sellers that is) then im sure a lot of this game just die even more. getting to point now that most of servers hang on as they are just for people knowing still have piece of the land to call there own. if they merge more it maybe almost end.. cause im not going to be playing this game anymore if my chars go from one to 2 names to 3 words with dots in them all. it would make me feel unoriginal and would make me feel like my time in this game since beta gone to waste. and make me feel like a noob again cause id feel like i was late to game and cant get a single or at least double named char. i really wish they show more care for old founders still around.

    There are going to be pros and cons to merging. I agree that names and character slots are complex, names moreso than the latter. I'm curious if they would consider free or reduced cost server transfers. That too has its pros and cons of course. It would allow players to make a decision on which characters to move and if they care about their names vs player population. Though it would also make low pop servers even worse than they are currently - they're basically bleeding out already.

    if they were to do another huge server merge, then they might want to fix the problems of the populated servers crashing every week. I like playing on the less populated ones , av and ch. they don't crash as much. ive noticed that the most populated ones crash all the time. is it due to all the people playing or is it just bad servers in general. if its due to all the people, then if they do a server merge then wouldn't the new huge server crash all the time as well? I don't know , but its something we and eme should be thinking about.

    They don't need to do a server merge, only cross-server HH, cross-server LFG and cross-server CU.

    Cross server LFG and CU sounds cool. Also they can do some like BDO

    I certainly don't want a server merge. For one reason, names. I have a lot of treasured short names usually snagged quickly at launch release. And two the servers are fine when there is events, it's up to eme to plan things for servers better than they have been to get people to play and stay.
