When Will Priest Get Love?
I've gotten to the point that once I finish enchanting my SC to +7, I'm selling it and rerolling mystic. The difference between the two is so huge and I'm tired of being declined from "fast runs" just because I'm a priest. ;_; I really don't wanna reroll, but priest is never gonna get some love.

So yeah OP, I feel you. My priest is ilvl446 and I regret gearing her that far. My mystic was in guardian and I ran her through rk9 getting every "don't get hit by X" achievement along the way because I simply never got hit by anything because I rarely needed to run near the boss. People would die to one-shots and wake up on their own with vow. I felt bored. I'd check my phone between CR/VoC. I'd run in circles 23m away and then cleanse someone from that distance. I'd switch to mystic but honestly ... it's just not fun as it is right now, for me at least.
...And really I'm tired of people playing mid/low tier classes complaining when they get a priest and not a mystic. Unless you're playing a valk or a warrior, you have no right to complain that somebody else isn't abandoning their main that they enjoy to be the flavor of the month for (your) utility purposes. In fact, I invite every active priest main -- all 3 of you -- to put the shoe on the other foot whenever someone tries to guilt you into playing a boring flavor of the month healer. If a brawler complains that you're not an aurabot mystic, bemoan the fact that they aren't a lancer or a warriortank if party utility is so important for them. If a gunner complains about having to use a carving crystal because you dared to show up, fire back that you're disappointed they aren't a valkyrie if personal dps is such an important matter for them. It's stupid that healers get this much flack and toxicity hurled at them for not picking the FotM class, from players who are "guilty" of the same exact thing.
idk fam, these idiotic developers can't balance at all. Just do what you enjoy I guess, and get friends who don't care about that sort of thing. "get friends" is easier said than done with so many people quitting the game, but it's all you can do I guess. I'd offer to play with you, but a bunch of factors have made me way less active than I used to be.
One question though- what about pvp?
From what i can find it seems Priests are what people heal with for 3v3 teams... or is that incorrect?

Correct. Priests outshine mystics in that area.
Outshine is not even half of the reallity in PvP.
In PvP raids you will have only Priests and maybe if you felt compasion for you mystic friend then you will let him/her join.
If you're talking about mass pvp raids, you still want both healers. You may want a few more priests than mystics per raid depending on what you're doing, but not "oh I felt bad for this mystic let's have just one join raid." They have different buffs and different utilities.

They aren’t bad but it’s a fact priest generally outshine mystics in PvP. That’s why the meta is priest x lancer x w/e
