What is the use of 100% Gold hunter boost (1 hour) for elite now?

I just realize the gold loot from monsters are now gone,is there any use of the boost for elites?

  • Same question about twice as many vanguards. I can't understand what's that about.
  • It's 'useful' when leveling up.
  • With how gold dependent enchanting has become, it would be nice if they would have open world monsters drop a decent amount of gold. They wouldn't even have to adjust vanguards dailies. I think I would rather farm bams all over the world than be stuck on IOD to grind money.

They won't change this because they don't want bots to make tons of gold by just farming mobs 24/7. This is why vanguards are inherently limited.

like many other pointless things that are in game thanks to BHS.
  • At least give something worthwhile to spend VG credits on again. 16 entropics is kinda rubbish and crystals are so cheap they may as well be fused for the lols.

Instead of Gold Hunter Boost why dont we have an Item/Gear Exp Hunter Boost?

With the current RNG in drops, how the loot is distributed and the low enchanting/upgrading success on top tier gear, you still fail enought times for many players to run dungeons many times still.

Short answer: There isn't a use for it.

Truth be told if they made it so that the gold boost applied to all gold received (excluding trade broker) then that would instantly make it a lot more viable than it is now.

Run some dungeons? Get 2x vanguard gold.
Run some dailies? Get 2x vanguard gold.
Sell some items? Get 2x merchant gold.

Honestly I know gold was a huge problem in the past but no doubt this patch has undoubtedly drained over a billion gold out of the market in just emeralds, diamonds, and the enchanting cost alone. I mean just to TRY to upgrade my Frostmetal lance to Stormcry is going to take about 10,000 gold's worth of emeralds and raw gold for the enchant cost. And I'm not even factoring in the materials and gold I sank to get it to this point.

+1 over and over and over again a million times over. Doubled gear XP rewards instead of gold? Honestly I think that's a perfect idea. It's not game-breaking, and given anything after you get to Frostmetal is still locked behind an RNG wall with an asinine expensive slot lever to pull on each roll, it won't just let people insta-win to +9 Stormcry.

Those 5-10 silver goes a long way. *roll eyes*

Nah, you get gold from BAMs from level 35+.

this sounds like a nice way to inflate the gold economy straight back up again. it would make elite insanely desirable again but double vanguard gold??? double merchant gold regardless of what you sell???? that's crazy. why craft and sell emeralds for 1,400g when i could just sell them to the NPC for 2k? diamonds for 20k. 1200g just for running RG. you can see the problems here....

gear XP boost on the other hand could be interesting

Maybe removing the taxes you pay when the seller is not on-line in the broker. That would be an huge advantage on elite with the no-taxes for auction already in it.

The "Buy Now" tax is an important dynamic of the market. Removing that tax for Elite would put F2P players at a significant buying disadvantage when they're already at a selling disadvantage. Given how precarious and arguably-unbalanced it already is, I think it's better that they not mess with that part of Elite much more, if possible. (If anything, as unpopular as it would be, it would probably be slightly better overall if Elites did have to pay a reduced listing tax instead of none, as this would reduce price flipping and give F2P players a better chance.)
  • just help leveling to buy skills... you make 1-2k extra
